The Japanese katakana writing on the label reads “whiskey” the way Japanese would pronounce the English word. I’ve bought Blanton’s black in Japan from the equivalent of $80-$110 (12,000-15,000¥), depending on the yen rate, although I’ve seen it offered for as much as 19,000¥.
Wife and I went down to Tennessee for our honeymoon and the Tennessee Shine Co location in Sevierville was right next to our hotel. So naturally, it was our last stop on our last day. It was raining, kinda chilly because we went in the early spring, and I FELT the 6 thimbles of moonshine and 5 thimbles of whiskey I sampled (may have already been tipsy) The last one was the Big Daddy Bourbon. I made a very financially questionable (because that stuff is like $125 per bottle) decision shortly after to buy it. It was the most expensive anything that my wife and I bought on our honeymoon. Even two tickets to the Stampede were cheaper. Lol I considered it worth it though. It is a very good bourbon. I just wish there was more information available.
Just tried this stuff today.As a proud canadian two thumbs up , the great one has created another masterpiece.. A little. Sweet.But beautiful Canadian Maple, little vanilla toffee and lengthy finish very dangerous!😂
It was a random tuesday single barrel drop the email went out at 4pm to get in line for the drop at 6. It was a few weeks ago. The liquidation has a ton of really cool bottles on it for half price it's a great time to live in ohio

Wouldn't stand in line for any bottle but if that's what you enjoy have at it. Yes Eagle rare is the best out of the lower tier BT in my opinion. Was able to get four bottles in Louisiana of the standard bottle and at 30 a bottle a great deal. We go to Louisiana several times a year so I will be getting more plan on giving away a couple to friends. Enjoy!!
Very unlikely someone went to BT and did this pick or the ER pick. Most likely BT just assigned a pick to them - that's kind of what they do for control states. Not that they are bad barrels or anything, BT just doesn't bother with the dog and pony show of picks most times. They set aside barrels and assign most of them to distributers, states, and major retailers. The only traditional picks are really medium size retailers, lottery picks, and influencer picks Even for Weller FP they often just do 3 samples by mail and you pick one.
You left out the coolest part about this bottle…… it’s not only from Virginia but also from Kentucky. It’s Buffalo Trace distillate that is shipped to Virginia. They age and bottle it there but at its base it’s BT juice.
Just a little FYI for ya. Canadian Whiskey rules state that in order to be classified as Canadian Whiskey is must be aged in oak barrels for, at least, 3 years. The makers filter it after the aging process to make it clear again.
This brand is hit or miss for many of the reviews I’ve seen on it. I haven’t tried it yet. Will I not sure if I can taste it before that would help. For this price I can get several bottles I like for sure. Enjoy!!
I usually make my own, with something along the lines of buffalo trace by putting half a dozen cinnamon sticks in for 4-6 weeks. How do you think that would compare?
@@ClevelandOnTheRocks well normally cinnamon extract is made using vodka but I wanted to stick to a whiskey flavour as much as possible for a cocktail that I make.
Seen reviews were they hated this bottle? Again everyone is entitled to their opinion but how could you not like a wheater. Unfortunately it’s impossible to find around my area in NE Ohio. Small batch is it but I enjoy it from time to time. Gave my trash guy a bottle and apparently he liked it brought my can to the house. And I’m 200 yards from the road.
I went to every liquor store here in the town i live in and they told me the same thing we can't keep them in stock so my only option is buy it online. But recently i pretty much got lucky and bought a bottle because one of my local liquor store finally got some in stock they called to tell me because i forgot i asked them to hold a bottle for me. Needless to say I'm glad i did because that was the best damn bourbon I ever drinked but yeah that was the regular kind of blanton's which is $75 here in my neck of the woods.It's the most i ever spent on a bottle of liquor and it was worth every penny.
They just dropped on Saturday here in Ohio. Eagle Rare and Blantons were at every store. I wasn't lucky enough to get to the store so I missed out. Glad you found a bottle. Cheers man
Ok guys I have been into tequila for many many years, I drink only the best additive free tequilas out there. As someone who knows much more about tequila than the average Joe I have to say that you two are complete fools, it is obvious that you guys have no knowledge of what “great” tequila is. I’ve seen some of the best out here, “Lou Agave”, “The Tequila Hombre”, and the guys “Sipping Off The Cuff”, these are reputable guys that know a thing or two about tequila. You two look like idiots by comparison, please do us tequila affectonados a favor and STOP with your tequila videos. You only are making yourselves look like even more idiots than you already are. Quite frankly you are two are an embarrassment !! It’s time you two pack it in and give it up. Never have I seen two guys that are more suited for the circus than you both !!
Have you tried the Ohio pick whistler. Looking at getting it. For ST Paddy’s day I tried Irish whiskey for the first time I got a sample pack at GE of Redbreast it had the 12-15 and a Laustau. The 15 was my least favorite but the other two were good. I’ll look for this bottle thanks for the review.
