Long time no hear from. Good game to watch, but some typical village batting, on what looked like a good wicket. Glad your back with your excellent commentary. Reckon you probably play yourself. Cheers Dave in Berlin
Thanks Dave. There's always a bit of village batting at our level tbf. Glad you enjoy the commentary! I do play a bit myself but not regularly as I've got a little one who occupies most of my weekends these days!
@@AppletonCricketClub great to hear from you after that hattrick you put up a couple of weeks ago. Also, even happier that you now have a younger member to your family. I follow your results on play cricket also, and then 1st eleven are around mid table at present. Of course you cannot play, film and commentate at the same time. Imagine along with the rest of the team, you have a full time occupation, family and cricket at the weekend. Mind you, having seen where Appleton is, it really is a lovely part of Cheshire to live in. Please let me know your name, so that i can check out when you do play. I notice you sometimes do live games, but i do not have the time to watch the whole game. Some big teams in east anglia, the EAPL do this, but have rarely more than 80 viewers at any given time. Must cost a fortune, although there is no commentary whatsoever, so uninteresting really. Tell me do you work in the communications/tv branch, because your voice is easy on the ear, and keeps one interested. As you know, i live in Berlin, am retired, but if there are 2 things that i miss over there...its my football team, Gillingham, and my cricket. Look forward to, when you have time, to your next video from Appleton CC. Family comes first, unless you have a home game, the sun shines, and the family are there watching. Take care Dave
Nice video and commentary again. Have waited for that lol. Thought after that good total in Appletons innings, the game would be close. Reckon your bowlers were very loose and it turned out an easy win for Cholmondeley. Where are you in the league btw and are they higher than yourselves. Over 200 is a good score normaly, but your bowling attack seems weak at present
Cholmondeley are up in 2nd and we're struggling at the moment, currently 4th from bottom so was always going to be a tough ask. We were missing a bowler or two in this game, which doesn't help.
Excellent commentary and some good village cricket. Have to take a look where you are coming from on play cricket. As you know there are so many excellent cricket sites on youtube now, that one is spoilt for choice. Will take a look at one of your games when you are filming and commentating the 1st XI. However, i must say your coverage and commentating is up with the best on youtube. Live personally in berlin, so love any cricket sites that are on here. Cheers Dave
Ah thanks very much, Dave! Very kind words. We're recording a 1st team game tomorrow so, all being well, we'll have a 1st team highlight video up next week.
@@AppletonCricketClub now i know where you are in Warrington, split in the middle of Machester and Liverpool. Hope the weather is good there for todays game. Look forward to the highlights, and hope the 1st IV score more than last week
@@AppletonCricketClub did you manage to film highlights of your 1st IV game. Dont have time for complete games. I know the editing takes time and work of course. I watch a few other great sites on here. Yourself probably also
Great to have your videos back with great commentary. We all realise the work that goes into making these. Its not that you only spend half an hour filming. You film the whole game and then edit. Much appreciated...Dave in Berlin
Realised your video was of the 2nds. Hopefully you will be filming the 1st eleven soon. I know you play yourself though, so might be difficult. Hot here in Berlin 33-38°. Hopefully good cricketing weather there. As you were away so long you will have to stay patient before your viewers find your site again. All the best Dave
I saw an incident like that in Hants v Kent long ago, Chris Cowdrey walked, Dickie Bird recalled him, saying - I didn't give you out son!,,, Not so happy Hampshire though 😁😁
Another great cricket site that i have discovered with excellent filming and commentary. Did you also do Dan Allens course. Have discovered you towards the end of the season, but will catch up on all your vids during the close season. Really good coverage. Thanks from Dave in Berlin. By the way what league and level is this. Lovely ground to play on
@@AppletonCricketClub thanks for the answers. Now i have an idea where you are. Look forward now as the season is almost over, to look at all of your previous vids. The commentary, updates and filming are first class
@@AppletonCricketClub These days I play for Fort Augustus in the highlands but I was born in Daresbury and played for Moore and Daresbury in the Cheshire conference had a couple of seasons st Warrington and grappenhall then Frodsham then thanks to summer RL had a few seasons off and started playing at Crewe Vagrants before moving up here if you fancy a tour we would happily play you guys
@@joshuaryder4680 ah cool! That's a beautiful spot to play cricket. Thanks for the offer. We recently got challenged to a game by another club called Appleton CC down south so i think we going on tour down there at some point...
Very enjoyable. The only suggestion would be a slightly higher resolution camera but if that's not feasible, then just keep up the good work. I enjoy the commentary and the length is perfect.
Lovely commentary once again. Can I please ask, if you have transformed the video, even at 1080p, the quality of the footage is grainy? Nonetheless enjoyed it.Beautiful ground, love the fencing, adds a nice touch.
@@AppletonCricketClub Hear you, we don't have a cameraman either. I play and record the match, when we are batting it easy as anyone can hold the camera and when we are bowling, we normally get the third man to be on the camera but sometimes its tricky when we dont need a third man. Yes, I understand the zoom point, have the same issue myself sometimes when the camera is unattended and I leave it at a wider angle.
