I’m definitely gonna miss the adults march in this year. It’s sad that they are bankrupt under having problems, but I hope they can get their organization back up and running. Hopefully, soon than later I grew up watching the cadets before I marched German beer core back in 1996 to 2001.
Nice recording , I've always like the sound from this hornline. I'm looking forward to hearing more from these Cadets boom and just like that it's over. I have nothing but great memories of this Powerhouse corps from the East. RIP Cadets
Great recording, I’m hearing more from the pit than when I saw the show live (in MA). Is it just me or do they make better quality Marimbas and vibraphones than 20 years ago? Either that or there are more of them on the field. I’ll have to do some research, just sounds like I’m hearing more complexity from the front. And yes, I know the mic is up front too.
Always amazes me that you can take a song that’s just kind of normal in its original state but when it’s orchestrated for drum corps, it’s becomes something totally different and you can never hear it the same way again. Bjork’s New World is the example here. For me, anyway. There are hundreds of examples through the years.
THis POV is heaven. As a horn player who marched DCI, this gives me flashbacks. Feeling the ensemble and feeling different sections of the corps as you march around. Thanks for the upload. The Cadets absolutely killed it this season.
