Thanks for watching to anyone who did! Sorry I’ve been gone for two years now but I’m trying to get back into the videos! I have been working on other projects on a separate channel meant for gaming in the mean time so hopefully edits will be more easy/ quality! Once again, I’ll have another video uploaded soon about the whole room tour process that took me a year to complete so hopefully that should be out soon. I’m gonna do my best to stick with this channel for as long as I can since it was never my intention to stop uploading for the past couple years. Will try and save up for Datsun content since parts are expensive but hopefully you all enjoyed the video! Much love to y’all see you guys soon and take care! :)
Still going, haven’t been able to drive it since last December though need new battery. Should be getting it up soon tho, but in the mean time I have been running it for a few minutes by using a spare battery! Hopefully a better update soon, thanks for asking! :)
Great video. I am trying to source some hinges for a Nissan Pao and these almost look identical. Is there any way you can please measure the length of the pin, even it being in the hinge? Mine is around 3 inches long.
Thank you this Video!!! I met you in Redondo Beach RUBYS and had to check on something but you and your father had to leave!! Nice meeting you and thank you for all you videos
Hey nice meeting you as well Jerry! I’m glad I can give some encouragement for your build! Happy to know you enjoy the videos!! Thanks again for the support!
They used to hold lots of meets there back in the late 80's to mid 90's, and they used to get a huge Datsun turnout. Glad to see they are having meets there again!
@@fueledbypho8421 Yeah, they where pretty cool. They used to let us use the restrooms inside and they had the GTP Winning Nissan and one time they had the BRE 510 parked off to the side, outside!! It was so cool!
@@Slyzxx76 nice! And yeah there’s a couple around, you should come to the next stateofspeedla meet in Gardena! Lots of Datsun folks show up so you’re bound to meet some others! :)
I like your build man! I also have to replace my sending unit but can't find any locally, and evilbay asks more for shipping than the the sending unit costs😆 I have a 70 1600 still 100% original.
Thanks for the support man! And nice! Not many people these days can still say that about their old 510/1600. Hope you find that right sending unit to keep it alive and well! :)
Very nice 510 I have one just like it I’m beginning to restore it I want to ask you where did you get the parts for the dashboard I did got something similar to what you have but I’m finding it very difficult to find the top part of the dashboard. Any tips will be appreciated thank you!!!
Hey thanks for the support! And mine came with mostly everything when I got it. But there’s a page on Instagram called “VintageDashes”. They sell the 510 dash pads! Check them out and give them a message that you’re interested! Hope this helps! :) instagram.com/vintagedashes?
Man I can't wait to buy a Datsun 510. You guys got a 510 squad going, one day maybe 5 years down the road I'll reach out to you guys and Mario to help build my 510.
Of course! The Datsun clubs are really fun to be a part of, lots of cruises too! And if you do, most definitely reach out and to Mario for the build of your dreams! 😊
Again thank you so much! And yes, I noticed the same that whenever I typed in Datsun 510 vids, there weren’t as many channels. I decided to hopefully be a hub for more Datsun content to come! Appreciate the support! ☺️
Awesome combo ,all motor all the way.i have the same set up in a desert gold 4 Door here in Florida,I am getting ready to install a catch can in mine so the timing of your video is dead on
Whats the story on the gauges? Brand, cost, etc. My oem speedo has gone crazy. I have a autometer tach that i need to install like you did. Did you document the modification (removal of) of the original instrument cluster? I would like to do the same to mine as you did, How about the speedo getting signal from the transmission? Good job. Thanks for sharing.
Yes you’re absolutely correct, that was the first thing I checked. Though luckily, I found the issue the day after! Turns out the fans wires weren’t grounded properly due to a fallen bolt that was misplaced. I managed to put another bolt on and they turned back on! Thank you for the help though I appreciate it! 😊
@@chrisabes8087 Thank you man, that means a lot! Glad you’re enjoying the content! And yes, hopefully you get that up and running real soon! Good luck on your project. :)
Thank you for the support! Glad you’re enjoying the content :) I left a link in the description of the video for the exact float! Good luck on restoring yours! www.ebay.com/itm/333516033235?fits=Model%3A510%7CMake%3ADatsun&hash=item4da71accd3:g:hmAAAOSw8o9eSB65
@@fueledbypho8421 your welcome thanks for the great 510 content! Wow i thought they were 15s, did tou have any rubbing issues? Also do you know how wide they are and the offset? I would love a set of these
@@booosstt Hey sorry I took long to give back the info. Wanted to make sure it was correct! Originally with the older tires I did have rubbing issues, but after putting on some thinner tires the rubbing was gone! The wheels are about 16x8 +0 offset! Hope you find your set! :)
Hey thank you for the support! Sorry I took a while to give you this but wanted to make sure it was correct! The paint isn’t original but it is based off the “Safari Gold Brown” color. Here’s the color and code: safari gold brown 906 Hope this helped! :)
