Hi ! what size tyres are you using for the sand...and tire pressure, please ? Good video, but background music, nice but too loud, makes harder to listen your commentary.
I think it should be able to without much of a problem. Have you driven on the beach before? I would definitely recommend going out with someone that has some experience if you haven’t driven on the beach before and watch a few RU-vid videos about sand driving to learn some basic tips and tricks.
Forester owner here, and unfortunately you are not correct. The "symmetrical" 4WD of the Subarus refers to the longitudinal axis, a.k.a. left/right, and it means that the two sides have equal lengths arms from the main shaft to the wheels. Not to the traction distribution between front and back. Still a great system, though!
you can use an aftermarket style USDM 98-11 ford ranger front bumper with a simple DIY adapter plate and a trim of the OEM bumper cover. I have a 8000lb winch mounted and it all cost about $600USD. You'll have to use the SG5 style wiper wash reservoir and trim up the splash guards
@@Coast2CountryAdventures I snagged a Subaxtreme bullbar for mine for $300 AUD from a wreckers. Pays to keep an eye out for one, fully ADR compliant and airbag tested.
From my understanding 4EAT transmission Foresters will have 50-50 power split when transmission is in 1 and 2 gear. I’m not sure if that changed with the newer models.
I always go 12psi on the sand with the forester but probably should have started at 15psi with my stiff tires that haven’t been on a rim in years. You live and learn.
Great little video, just wanted to ask as I couldn’t tell in the video, is it a manual or auto. I know the manuals have the low range function, if it is, do you use it and is it worth it? Or just stick to an auto.
Not a bad day out and having a feed of fresh fish. Nice video too. If you enjoy bass fishing along with catching huge Carp try anywhere upstream of Maitland/Singleton area. I used to live in Singleton and caught some nice fish there.
@@Coast2CountryAdventures there is heaps of places upstream of Singleton to Jerry Plains and beyond if you go by Kayak. The river does have some shallow areas along the way and some exposed sandbars to camp on. Jerry Plains bridge that crosses the Hunter River is a good starting point.
The older Subaru's are okay off road, but the current model Forester with X-mode is amazing for what it is. As you can see in the 18:00 mark here X-mode would have made that happen.
@@Coast2CountryAdventures because in situations were you have no traction these old cars will just let the wheel with no traction spin. X-mode will brake the spinning wheel and redistribute torque to the wheels with traction to help you move forward.
Yes yes this is why Subaru makes the traditional 4wds not happy. People laugh at me when I tried to bring my new stock Outback to the Bribie Island. When I drove past a dozen of bogged tanks I was wondering why😂
@@Coast2CountryAdventures xmode just makes the power transfer a bit more aggressive which makes tricky sections a little easier. Tires are gonna make a much bigger difference since xmode is just software.
But once you get there hopefully you don't have to pay for electricity or buy fuel, food, cos then you're really going to be pissed off and broke, and don't bother watching TV you might see our politicians that are a bunch of woke lefty lying pieces Of crap

I live in Australia and I know there are like no beaches that look like that, and it is also winter so you probably wouldn’t be at the beach so it’s Hawaii
