I'll have to do this challenge in a month or two, when I'm able. I'm moving house at the moment and the whole affair is a logistical and physical nightmare 😂
The La Bamba in low G was my favorite. I have enough soprano ukes to try a low G setup on one: only $3-$6 to try something completely different. I'll call him "Monty": something completely different. 😂
I like how you predicted my anxiety and telling me to deep breath knowing yourself. Thank you. I also need the link to this printable sheet for Htl Cal.
I am brand new to music theory and I was a little hesitant to start this course but I am surprised at how much fun I am having. The pace is good and I like how you have broken it down into simple terms. Thank you Bernadette. Now to commence Unit Three!
You had me at "look up, look up, look up!" I live on the Central Coast of California. This is my first time learning to play an instrument and I look forward to learning from you.
KitKat!!! Always makes me happy to see your Kitty. When I was a kid we had a Tabby Cat. They are the best. Your explanations have been good and now that all the pieces have come together, I think I have a descent grasp of the subject matter. Could I teach it... No chance but I now understand what you are saying and am looking forward but also feeling sad for the last unit :)
Be careful with any song by the Eagles. If Don Henley takes notice that you're playing Hotel California on your channel he'll contact RU-vid accusing you of copyright infringement and you'll end up with a strike. RU-vid is not the bad guy. It's the selfish Eagles band that is ordering them to take down all of their songs. The greedy Eagles want creators to pay them for permission. I'm no longer an Eagles fan
Just understand how to read it :) If I were to ask you “how many sharps are in the G major scale?” I’d love for you to be able to look at the circle and tell me 😃
I'm enjoying and learning. Just bought the .PDF. I'm not exactly sure at the moment how theory will help my guitar playing but I know it will come together with your instruction. Thanks. Oh, yea, the review is priceless.
It would be much more helpful if you SAID which finger was on which string and which fret instead of just showing it, and then showing the side of the fretboard, so we can't even see where your fingers are.
Ok so here is where i got things wrong apparently: i thought major scales are the ones with the sharps, and those with the flats are minor. Hearing F w the flats called "major" was scary. Hearing "B flat major" was heartbreaking.
Ahhhhh Bernadette, thank you so much! I’ve never felt so confident playing ukulele and I was even able to keep up with the song as it played on my phone 😭 You’re so wonderful 🫶🏾
