hey everyone, welcome to my youtube channel!! my name is talia and I am a student-athlete. I train badminton competitively and I represent Canada at international badminton tournaments! I started this channel so that I could share my experiences with all of you!! If you guys enjoy my videos, please give them a like and subscribe!! :))
Watched from hospital now, first day I've felt good enough to watch RU-vid. Should be out in about 10 days. Awesome win in the second 💪The sound was terrible, but that's 'cause I'm using the free ear buds from some Chinese airline. I'll order some proper headphones 😎
Once again she’s playing a player ranked well outside the top 100 in the world….. As soon as she comes up against a girl with some real class she’s not going to win.
It’s not hate it’s plain facts. She’s got through to a final where she’s hasn’t played anyone who’s actually close to being ranked to the top 100 in the world. That’s a fact. If she plays against players like she is here of course she’ll win…… I think I tire of her constant whining and complaining and while she was restrained in this video…. Let’s just see how she does in the finals….. and she who she plays and what world ranking they are….. my guess is she’s inside the top 100 she’s not going to win…. And she’s already said this girl has beaten her before but hey….. I’ll wait and see.
@@jonburton1935 You know that this is 2023 tournament, ya? The podium finishers are: Talia Ng, Irina Amalie Andersen, Romane Cloteaux-Foucault, Wiktoria Dabczynska
Always looking forward to your videos, Talia.. glad you got your luggage bag, but feel bad that you have to study now 😅.. keep up with the awesome videos.. I am sure this (Youtubing) is something you can do very well and successfully, so yeah, keep it up, beside your badminton, and studies, of course 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Good to see Talia get pushed and tested to her limits, it shows how professional and committed she is to her sport. Go Talia! BTW - We love the natural nails! You're just a babe inside and out ;-)
Talia, thank you so much for sharing. If it's not too much of an asking, when Peter conduct a session on mid-court strokes, please do share, all for the victory ✌️✌️✌️✌️ of badminton. Thank you in advance.
I encourage you to look into "fixing" your flat feet (not surgery). There's exercises you can use to strengthen the arch muscles. I used to have flat feet problems playing. Worked on my arches and no more pain now. Have also helped players I've coached with their flat feet issues too.
Like I said in her last video….shes not playing anyone with any real class. This girl she’s playing is again ranked in the 600s. Yet Talia nearly got beaten by her.
Maybe you’re just a bit slow. I’m here to point out some pertinent facts. One is she’s not playing anyone in the competition with any real class. That’s a fact….what I’ve seen so all the players are ranked well past 200…. And yet she seem to struggle to beat them. Sorry if you don’t like that fact… but there it is. The continual whining and complaining is like the behavior of petulant obnoxious teen. It’s less entertainment and more entitled brat than anything else.
I didn't notice the text on the screen saying this is the 2023 tournament -- but I assumed the NI happens under the auspices of Badminton Europe, and was wondering why I hadn't gotten YT notifications for court 1 -- I looked, and the 2024 NI happens in Nov 2024, then I realized this must be last year's, which is when I saw the 2023 text on the video -- I guess it took you a long time to edit the vlog -- anyway, good luck if you play this year
Your opponent looked like a slightly smaller version of Yeo Jia Min of Singapore on the main BWF tour -- it takes competitive grit and talent to get good results in the latter stages of a tournament , seems you had both in your QF match
The draw is a big deal of course, and some players seem to consistently have terrible luck -- as I recall Mia Blichfeldt (DK) had really bad luck in the draw in the recent past, having to face a top 5 player in the first round a number of times -- of course this can happen if you are unseeded -- still losing in the first round of tournament after tournament is not going to help either your ranking or your competitive psyche/motivation
She played two players not even close to the top 100 in the world. One is in the mid 600s the other is closer to 300. The fact that she struggled against both players says a lot
