Thank you in advance for helping with the pxn 2119 pro settings. I have a question on the MSFS 2020 PC, why does the setting return to default after being saved? Is there a problem with my game? Please give me some advice.
Is it Steam or Windows store version of the game. Maybe have some cloud storage for settings and that doesn't update. Steam have cloud, if on steam, try to turn it off for testing. For windows store version, don't know much.
These are amazing videos...I m familiarising with G1000 avionics....these videos are useful in addition to all the others on this subject.... Can you suggest a credible site from which the 2020 microsoft flight simulator can be purchased online and uploaded on the PC? And the requirements of the PC... Many thanks captain
Steam Launcher or Microsoft Store, for purchase and install (Steam will be my choice). Regarding the requirements, huh, it's hard to say, need a pretty beefy PC to run smooth. Like minimum 8 cores CPU, 32GB RAM, I have RTX 2060, but it could be better, and also need a SSD with min 1GB space if you gonna run mods or 300 GB without mods but with with all updates.
I was wondering if you could provide your input on setting up and flying a visual approach to a specific runway using the GTN750? How to plan the descend and etc. Thank you!
Oh, you are bringing back my flying experiences. Flying with the GARMIN is going to be a wonderful experience for me when I finally receive my Diamond 62. Again, thank you for your complete and useful presentations.
Thank you. Your explanations are clear and well understood. I like how you decide to change something on the flight plan as we are flying. You explain every step clearly. I live in California and personal family medical problems stopped my flying and had to sell my aircraft 33 years ago. Now I am about to own a Diamond 62 in about a year and all of a sudden I have to get up to speed on “glass “ instrument panel. Your GARMAN 1000nxi presentations are just wonderful. I cannot believe how much easier it’s going to be to fly again. Thank you for your time and energy producing very useful training videos.
I own this great joystick and have a question. Is there a way to mimic a long travel collective with curves in msfs? The left throttle are to sensitive and it is near impossible to hover due to the helicopter (cowansim 500e) going up or down. Can not hold the altitude.
Unfortunately, MSFS curves are not really that good. If you set long travel, it is going to be super sensitive, if you set short travel, you can have less sensitivity but it is going to be super short, no really golden middle in that. Maybe you can try experimenting with reactivity, but I'm not really sure how it works.
I am a new user to MSFS and I was very frustrated with the Garmin G1000. I stumbled upon the video series produced by FlyOver and after going over 1,2 and 3 many times I was able to successfully complete an IFR GPS flight in a Cessna 172 equipped with a Garmin G1000 NXi from Regina Saskatchewan Canada to Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I would not have ben able to pernitrate the complexity of the G1000 with out the Videos you provided. I am looking forward to learning about the holds and other techniques. Thank You!!!
Thank you for the nice comment, happy to hear that my videos helped you. There will be more videos on the channel in some time. Also if you need one-on-one tutoring or instructions in MSFS and flying, I have an affordable program that I've been running for a while now and have plenty of happy students. Feel free to email me for details, the email is in the description of the channel, or you can join channel discord which is also in the description of the channel on the main page.
Very informative video thank you! I am still learning and notice that every single youtuber uses the legacy interaction system. Why is this? As a beginner, i find the tooltips mostly helpful and from trying legacy for a bit, it is impossible to see what setting most buttons and switches are on. Is this recommended mainly for immersion for more experienced captains? Thank you!
People switch to legacy because it is easier to control buttons and knobs in the cockpit, however, you can turn on Cockpit tooltips and highlights in legacy mode too, go to Options, and under Accessibility, just under the option to switch to LEGACY, you have 2 options to have MENU and INSTRUMENT tooltips, so whenever you mouseover instrument in the cockpit, it will pop the tip for it.
@FlyOverGames thanks for your reply! I don't know how I missed those options but I will enable them and see how I get on. I can always turn them off later then when I am more familiar with the plane.
Excellent question, that depends on the distance from your destination and speed. There are free calculators that you can use for the descent, you need to know the present altitude, distance to the destination waypoint, altitude you want to be at the waypoint, and your speed. Search "flightsim.to" and you will find a calculator.
I cant seem to find any consistency in getting mcdu to load the simbrief flight plan. Ive had it do it on several occasions, but most of the time it says invalid entry and I end up doing it manually. What might I be missing in this process?
@@FlyOverGames ….yes, I just figured it out about 30 min ago. I had purchased another pmdg variant and never set it up in simbrief. It never occurd to me because the EFB was getting simbrief, but that is a completely different connection
Was there any option for flying directly to SIRMI without being put outside of the resulting plotted course? I saw that it said that its bearing was 08 and you set 07. But I would suspect that even setting 08 would still put you outside the course. You'd need decimals in order to get it exact, which is why I would hope that there was a "direct to" function. BTW: I think that you could use the Garmin to find the ILS frequency. I don't remember exactly how. I also think there was a way to specify the restrictions to say "not above altitude X" vs "not below altitude X". Again, I don't remember how. Excellent content, though, you are talking us through it. Very informative. Good work. I realize I may be late to the party, but something that I wonder about is if the Garmin can tell you what ATC you respond to at any given moment and find the transition points airspace to airspace so that you can prepare the frequency change before being instructed by ATC. Can you get the approach card from the Little Navmap or some other source that doesn't cost money? The range button also has a PAN function. So you can move the map sideways. You don't have to wait for something to get close before you can zoom in on it. I believe you click the top and drag your mouse. When making a GPS turn and adjusting your heading bug and also when setting the heading bug for takeoff, you can just press the top of the heading knob and it will set your current heading.
Thank you for the comment, but all the things you mentioned are not related to this video, because this video was recorded before the G1000NXi update, so all the functions are not there, just basic GPS with some functions. I have to record a new tutorial since G1000 is updated with the NXi version and has so many new features. To answer your question, there are charts for the USA for free, for the rest of the world unfortunately you will have to play Navigraph subscription.
Thank you so much!! I was told to get off Vatsim bc I couldn’t control the headings or speed, your video helped me so thanks so much man!! Just Subscribed ❤
Brilliant Flyover! I am so glad smart people share their knowledge! I confess I'm going to have to watch 1, 2 and 3 again, but that's the beauty of RU-vid!
