Hi, I was wondering if you could help, I would really appreciate, do you have a copy of another episode of Going Live on the 14th March 1992 , I appeared on Going Live through a phone in competition and played Feed the Dog computer game , I won a ghettoblaster. (Wet Wet Wet and Elefriends was also on the episode) I have been trying to find the episode for the last 30+ years BBC no longer have the episode. Thanks for your time. Craig
Perfect reading of both countries news bulletins , dry and to the point . BBC News has deteriorated . over the years to the point of being unwatchable . Though I still wonder why the head of Police believed a poisonous animal like Black would give himself up , for a clean slate with his motoring offences . Given what they had already established at the time They should have announced a shoot to wound policy on that monster .
I sent in a letter asking if tracy (a member of the crew) looked like a model on the front cover of BELLA magazine, i asked if she was single ....😮 they never said that on the programme..... any chance u have this please... dont know what episode it was on but i do remember it was b4 THE CRUNCH.. 😊
On a BBC4 documentary series about North Sea Oil, the widow of one of the Piper Alpha workers said that it blew up exactly on the night she fell asleep before watching the Grampian late news headlines after NaT, which she had been watching every night, just to be sure that nothing had happened to it.😨
Didn't that Best of British jingle later become the basis for the LWT "Solari/Genesis" ident jingles? If so, could it be assumed that LWT was in charge of creating the BoB pres package? But that MATH programme slide there looks as it was made by TVS.
Bloody hell fire, hat an absolute rip! AA and RAC subscriptions are far cheaper 33 years later. "free *european* break down cover available with top schemes". What the hell? 3:19
I don't remember Columbo being on ITV at any point before the turn of the millennium. BBC One used to show it every Saturday evening at one point during the mid 80's, I used to watch it and actually understood the plots and clever wordplay between Columbo and the murderer despite being very young at the time. That's where I first discovered the show and developed a real love for it, amazing series. I remember Channel 5 showing it a lot in the afternoon movie slot during the early 2000's, then ITV showing it in graveyard 3am slots in the 2010's. No idea where the repeats reside on UK TV nowadays, but I suspect that it will be only on some minor channel now. I do know that it was available to stream on Freevee in recent times, when I watched a couple of them they ran the entire duration without a single advert. Sadly, that's the commercial worth of this outstanding show these days. But I digress, point was that I didn't know that Columbo aired on ITV in the 90's.
Strange hearing people say "things change.. that wasn't like it is now" - when it was only 8 years before - can't imagine people saying the same in 2024 about life in 2016.
'Singing star' Lisa Stansfield is pushing it a bit by Granada's promo team. Seven years would elapse before her first hit. Also nice to see the Best of British sting - the announcement after it would have been since network wide.
Actress Nicola Stapleton in the Angel Delight advert. Northern Rock -what could possibly go wrong? The irony of being shown before 'Suspicion'! The YTS advert is like a hostage video, happy Sharon?! Tell your face that!😂
I've never seen the episode of "Wimpole Village" called "Ghosts in the Village" but I've never seen the other episode of "Wimpole Village" called "The Bad Stranger"
