Hey Jeffrey, we began our journey in the UK in 2014. In 2020, we began to expand into Europe and the USA with our customer base and with Brexit, we moved a majority of our processes out of the UK to Asia.
This video was not overly technical or too in-depth into details. No need to be apologetic. It would've been different if he was explaining the details by pointing things out specifically (which I was expecting). I think more people should appreciate what goes into restoring a classic. These cars should be appreciated and valued.
Hey there, your latest video (Ferrari 328) is set to private so we can't see it even though we get a notification about it being released. I doubt that's intentional so I thought you may want to know.
Now there comes the video I've been waiting for! Explains all I needed to know in a visual and clear manner, thanks a bunch! One might argue the title is slightly misleading as the video covers more than advertised (ie stepping up, stepping down and keeping the stock diameter while modifying the wheel). Maybe "Guide to modifying 3-piece wheels" is more to the point. Just a new subscriber trying to help :)
@@rimscarnated Glad I could help! For what it's worth, you would set yourself off from the competition if you covered how to seriously (read "safely") convert a one-piece wheel to a three-piece one, ie strengthening the wheel face after it's been cut and ideally performing a Finite Element Analysis. Hope this helps, although I know it would be more more work for you!
@@remifassol4198 This is something that we simply don't recommend as it's never safe enough to do really. As the issue is that your cutting up wheels that have been used for many years and then the cost of actual testing far exceeds the cost of a reproduction forged set which are much stronger and better overall.
@@rimscarnatedThat's a very good point, turns out you also mentioned this in the 300 ZX wheels video, which I hadn't properly paid attention to when I first watched it! Just tossing ideas around here (again!), but releasing a video about why converting a wheel to 3-piece is a bad idea may bring more traffic to your channel.
You must make a lot of money to be manning manual press and lathe ops. How are you making your OE forged series are you re-barreling original wheels or are they remakes?
Our wheels are all brand new but in the past we did used to rebarrel older wheels. A majority of the lips and barrels we make are for other businesses and clients around the world who have their own wheel shop and relip old Euro or Japanese wheels.
