YOU NOT LYING.... I STILL HAVE MY 13W1V2 UN THE JL BOX WITH 4 INCH MAGNETS HELD UP TO A MASSIVE 3K GOLD EDITION WITH 6 KICKER CVRS GREY AND WHEN THE BRONCO 2 WAS DONE, A KICKER SUB BLEW BUT THE JLS HELD THEIR OWN AT 35-60HZ 100.
Straight lies.... I can name a legit handful of _good_ amps for $200± that would be more than enough to power four of those turd little W6's to their mechanical limits well before they thinking about clip 🙄 Now that thing you pointed out? Who knows what that thing is, you're the one selling it, how you going to trash talk something you yourself are selling, even worse, displaying on the floor right next to what _you_ consider your "premium" offering 🤣🙄
Too bad the enclosure wasn't measured to the cabin and it sticks up 3" past the side windows looking all crazy like. Could've done similar with a custom full cabin center section and still had two rear passenger seats if thought was given prior to building.
Well working at a shop, cca sucks, having to replace the dust from the cca gets old, that’s why we treat our customers better and not sale the cheap cca crap. Buy once not twice. Work in the industry and you see why ofc is the better option. Big system we don’t install the cca if they come to the shop with it. And plenty of people have gained a lot going from cca to ofc. Yall just crazy. And it’s been proven.
Shops always push Jl audio cause they know it’s over priced and can make money off people. Then try an justify the price. Saying sundown an everyone else is trash lol
I'm still bumping a Rockford HX2 15", that I found in a junkyard in 2001. Custom ported box, tuned to 33hz. Shit still bangs and sounds incredible. The JL W7 was JL's best sub, but from what we know nowadays about car audio, is you can make a Jensen 10" pound, but I think Sundown tasks the price to performance category. I would love to own a Rockford T1 some day.
Let me tell you... I had a guy in my local car audio shop make me a custom box for two JL 12's like these. It was for my 16' Altima. I didn't want a full box taking up my trunk, so he did me one a fourth of the size! Boy when I tell you these joints hit! It's like I have two 15's in a full size box!! My box has more space than needed, because it could have been done with way less. But because I did have trunk space, I told him to make it a little bigger. They hit!! For those that know & remember, the Miami Bass days!! DJ Magic Mike, Bass Patrol, Techmaster PEB, Two Live Crew of course, & many others! These babies can handle it all in a lot smaller space!!👊🏾💯
Whats your opinion on electric cars (like tesla) with a 12 inch sub? I'm hearing tons of issues. Currently the issue I get is the Amp is making a pulse to the car that make the car not able to update. Only thing I can think of is putting a big on and off switch on the Amp and turn it off when I need to update.
If you have an oversized system you should have a capacitor installed so you don't damage your battery anyways. It won't stop battery drain. A second battery might be appropriate in some situations. If you're going to add a selector switch I would do a three-way with a shore power charger or external power supply.
Thats kind of what I was thinking, I was hoping to not have to upgrade the electrical, but we have a front and rear facing dash cam and a radar detector we run alot as well.... looks like I'll need to increase the budget and wait a little longer I appreciate the response thank you
My 2000 camry does pretty good with just a big battery and a big 3, and a stock alt, pushing 2800 clamped on 3 12s, doesnt ever drop below 13.6 volts when the is running, i have 15.4 volts with the car idling with the music off
@@Wr3K_6996 don't make sense but ok. you have lithium battery with a stock alternator which doesn't charge at 15 volts so how you have floating 15 volts is BIG SURPRISE TO ME.
@@Wr3K_6996 I have a 02 ls430 lexus with stock 130 amp alternator Big 4 all 0 gauge ofc wires yellow top optima battery under the hood with xs power d925 battery in the trunk for a single fosgate t1 12 subwoofer wired to 2 ohms on a kicker cxa1200.1 amp and my voltage is still dropping below 13 volt so just surprise to see your voltage at 15 volts
I got two comp c 10s in a custom box I made myself love it been thinking about going lower on the peak it’s at 57 with about 2.7db gain. was thinking of lowering it to 54 at 5.2db but I’d imagine the bass would completely drown my other frequencies for my door and tweeters
Just buy it from a electrical supply store. Buy stranded copper wire and use a calculator to find out the gauge. Also oxygen free is bs, copper is copper but don't use aluminum
If you have a big system, all of them are important....if you have a daily system that doesn't draw much amperage or in other words it doesn't exceeds the cars electrical demands, you might only have to replace your front battery and do a big 3.... I have seen some daily systems that did not have to upgrade the electrical because the equipment was really efficient.... the amps to be clear.
So glad I watched this after doing big 3 and putting 3 batteries in the car and running a ton of 0 gauge before getting an alternator. Alt is on the way tho
This is not a budget sub although not an spl sub i have seen them split trunk lids and hoods. They also havr different applications and didnt loose integrity. They are worth it this was my first sub and that happened in 90...91
