Thank you very much from Thailand. This year we are going to teach bbc microbit at our school. Your videos are very helpful to me and also to my students too. But I am retired and just volunteer to the school. It's very new for me and now I come to know it's very helpful for teaching or learning on the daily life matters. Welcome to Chiang Rai. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day. God Bless.
I'm just wondering how to have a world map in classroom mode. When try it in game mode, I will get a starter pack and with a world map in it. But in classroom mode, there is no starter pack and no world map. I need a map because i will let my students to build their own house around the world. With the map, i will be able to locate them easily.
Hello Dose anyone know what arcade buttons are compatible with the makey makey becase I know some people who have bought plastic buttons and I just want to be sure for my science fair. Thank you!
Hi, Stu! Do you know how to reset a module from the beginning? I'm on Lesson 2 of Python, and I'm trying to re-start that module from the start. Thanks!
I've learned a great deal from your videos. Thank you. Do breakout boards exist that will handle servo motors, neo pixels, and LED's on the same board and allow programming of combinations of each?
I have two of those Adafruit PyGamers and I love them! They have nice controls and stuff and they can handle a lot of sprites and stuff. Recently I finally made a project big enough that it doesn’t fit on my console and it was over 2133 lines of code long with like nine images and 15 levels and just getting rid of the images allowed it to run just fine. 100% would recommend the Adafruit PyGamer, just mind the price.
I just spent several hpours trying to figure out how to move a Makecode Microbit program to another PC. Finally, it was really simple - things always are when you have figured them out! I was working with my grandson, so we were using the block code. Here's how to do it On PC A Switch from block code to Python (select Java, and a Python selection drops down. Click it. The pprogram is shown in the Python language, which is text. Highlight iot all and copy ir with a Ctrl-C Open your favorite text editor and paste in the Python text. Save it to a USB memory stick On PC B Plug in the USB memory stick Open the saved Python program with a text editor Highlight everything and copy it with a Ctrl-C. This copies the text to the computer memory, where it will stay till a later step. Open MakeCode. Create a new project. When the "On Start" and "Forever" blocks are shown, switch to Python. There will be almost nothing in the Python text. Hilight annything that is there and press Delete to get rid of it. Remember that since you copied the Python text from the USB stick, it is still in the computer memory. Put the curson in the now empty Python program area and press Ctrl-V to paste in the python program from memory Click the Blocks button at the top of the screen - and Voila! There's your block program.
FYI - I got a confirmation from ELECFREAKS that the button issue on their unit has been fixed through an email enquiry. It seems to be the nicest option to me out of all the brands you reviewed. I might go with it if it’s really fixed. 😊
