I’ve been looking for more fan produced Trek stuff on RU-vid since tripping ve Avalon a couple of years ago and only today did this hit my Suggested Videos list. Subscribed.
Thank you all. Either my shunning of social media or the unendingly busy meat grinder of life caused me to overlook this, but I really appreciate the recognition for Best Director for Raiders of the One Ring. The movie was made on a whim during a rough time where Nick and myself just wanted to do something fun in the early hours of the morning July 2022 and then get breakfast after the sun fully rose. The movie was shot mostly in one day with costume changes and very few retakes. We were clear about what we wanted and there was no written script, just a very straightforward idea based around what we had to work with. There were a lot of great entries into this contest (more Snake Plissken please!) and whenever time presents itself, I'll finish the 12 or so projects collecting dust in my computer and enter one of them into the next. I hope all the filmmakers that participated keep creating on whatever scale they can. Telling stories is the oldest (and best) form of communication no matter where you hail from.
AXANAR showed what Superb Quality & SFx can be done on a minimum budget with the right talented people, and THAT pissed off Paramount/CBS bloating their movie cost by 5-10x+ for the benefit of the elite profiteers. AXANAR scared the monopoly of Paramount/CBS.
It's always fun when you have an idea for a movie in your imagination, and then actually taking it out of your imagination and seeing it in front of your eyes in a movie is perhaps the most fun part of making a movie. That's how I got my Ghostbusters movie about Ecto 1 catching a ghost on a cemetery from inside my head to a movie.
Soon after shooting completed in 2015 the film languished in post production and never got completed. It is hoped that the film will be finished this year.
Mind-Sifter is available on RU-vid. Look up Star Trek New Voyages. We did manage to wrap principal photography. It's a sequel to " For The World Is Hollow." It really centers on Dr. McCoy, played by Jeff Bond. The rules for Fan Films changed so we shelved it. The director may eventually release it. There may be a rough cut out there.
There is a rough cut on RU-vid. A rough cut is for the Director to see how it flows. It needs to be color-corrected; the sound is uneven, and I don't know if any VFX is finished. Look for Torment Of Destiny.
Thank you everyone for all the fantastic films we saw ! And of course, a big thank to the organizers for this festival. Very proud to have been part of it this year🙏
Wow!! 🎉 We’re honored to have Super Mario Bros: Back In The Game win the award for Best Comedy/Parody! Thank you to the Fan Film Director’s Choice Awards organizers for shining a light on all the hard work that so many teams put into fan films. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! Looking forward to seeing more incredible films next year
This one caught me off guard and, for a second, I thought I had imagined hearing of Richard's passing. Sad that we lost him because he was one of those who came from old school sci-fi who had a love of the genre and had the charisma and gravitas to 'move the needle' when he got involved.
Sadly, he is gone. This interview was recorded in 2015 and this and other interviews were never produced because Torment of Destiny fell flat in production. After a Facebook post from someone on the crew for that film posted some memory photos, I decided to, at least, finish all of the interviews so those who worked in front of and behind the camera could once again reminisce about their time working on that film.
Tons of fun! Congrats to all for the accomplishment of making our fan films. As we all know, it can be a very challenging...but also a rewarding experience. GOOD LUCK to everyone!
Very good! Thank you for this wonderful trekkie entertainment. One suggestion - would look far more professional and trek canon if the longer-haired women wore their hair neatly tied up in buns etc. while on duty.....
@@thefederationfiles8938 LOL I know that episode but no, just a bit of tidying up in a world which doesn't care about professional attractiveness. Nevertheless, very good video and thank you for bringing it to us!
