Just a bloke who loves customising motorcycles and making them stand out. I currently ride a 2015 Harley Davidson Sportster 72. Subscribe and see regular mods and reviews of my motorcycles.
I wish i had of seen this video before i decided to go with 03-05 yz450 plastics on my 00 wr400. - i've had to swap the subframe to make it all fit... but, i wanted black plastics...
Not sure if anyone has asked yet but what was the rear suspension travel after doing this swap? If I'm not mistaken they start at around 2 inches. Do these shocks get them up to/beyond 3 inches? Thanks! 😁
I have the same bike and use fine stainless steel mesh for protection. Normally Harley Davidson has to attach this as standard. To sell the bike without this is a joke.
Really find your vids helpful mate with the prices and clear talk through while you install parts. It gives me confidence to do my own work knowing you probably have a tutorial already. keep it up legend.
It’s shocking how much this simple conversion ruins the curves and the lines of the bike. It doesn’t even look “bobbed” anymore. Hmm. Function over form. I would never ride with a 3.5 gallon tank EVER. This video has steered me to the low rider instead of the Bob. Thanks.
Tengo estos neumáticos, y tengo serios problemas a alta velocidad para controlar cuando el pavimento posee líneas. No has sentido inestable a altas velocidades?
@@bernardoreilly3720 if you want to eliminate the fast flashing indicator light on your speedo then yes. Otherwise the indicators themselves flash at a normal rate.
You getting any oil accumulating on the top where you drilled the vent holes? I did this to my bike and it's getting oil accumulating on top where the vent holes have been drilled out.
Just got mine today, tried wiring one up and after 4 flashes, it is going into rapid mode. Wondering was yours doing the same? Going to see what the resistance is and see if I can fix it...
@TheGingybeardMan I've got a 05 sportster. Getting the multimeter onto the old indicator it was reading 0.6 ohm where the led is so high it just showed as an open circuit so I'm guessing that's why 😅. Ah well it was only £11 lol
Sportster sounds absolutely wicked. I own a 2020 FXST, 107ci m8 and I will admit to anybody that it's the worst sounding Harley big twin ever. The Sportsters were the best sounding for a long time but of course, HD discontinued the Sporty.
Hello.. I have this noise but it is loudest when I let out of the gas. I replaced complete clutch basket and hub assembly. I still have the noise. What could this be?
Got it looked at.. Front pulley nut worked loose and was rounded but the lock nut. Inner splines of Pulley are almost completely gone. I replaced the pulley with new nut and luck. The noise must have resonated through main shaft and into primary.
I sat on one of those seats in brown on a LRS, seat colour was hideous ha ha and the seat felt like a slab of wood, the edges cut into my legs was not impressed. Personally think Saddleman seats are like the "Kings new Clothes" nobody wants to admit they bought a horrible seat. Bought a Drag Specialties Predator III for my bob, much better lines, comfort from the off as no gel. Seat height is retained and pops you no more than half inch back. Pillion is longer and thicker though still reckon she wont like it as women need wide seats for their boney arses. Prefer the Memphis Shades Cafe fairing as even less intrusive yet still provides less wind hitting you in the chest at high speed.
I know it's an old video, but stock that bike makes only about 72 lb feet I know this is an old video but I'm looking through RU-vid channels checking out mt10 tuning clips. I'm getting my 2019 mt10 back from 2wdw in a couple of days and it seems like people are having a little bit of confusion regarding the numbers. Yamaha advertisers the bike at putting out something like 153 or 156 horsepower at the crank which equates to maybe 131 or 134 horsepower or something similar at the wheel depending on the bike and Dino and atmospheric conditions. people are technically right when they claim their bike has 170 horsepower if they're putting down I don't know 153 or so at the wheel on the dyno. also the torque in this Dino chart on this video must be recorded in newton meters not pound feet. it's strange that they would use horsepower and Newton meters rather than horsepower and pound fee, but that's just the way the conversions on this Dyno are set up. in reality at the wheel, this bike was making just about 70 lb feet of torque and now it's making just about 79. this all makes sense if you check the numbers that the bike makes at the crank and that the wheel, do proper conversions and look at what other people are getting on forums and video uploads after getting a decent tune. for a bike with a short wheelbase and minimal fairings, 150 horsepower and just about 80 ft lb of torque at the wheel will get you going faster than you want to be going with no wind protection and off the line keeping the wheel down can be a real challenge. people should not be disappointed with these numbers because they really do push the limits of what this bike is intended to do. taken mine to 155 mph stock on the highway for a few minutes at a time and I've done power wheelies with passengers on the back at 80 mph bone stock. with a tune, this thing is more than a handful and if people really want to get up into 100-ft pound of torque and 200 horsepower at the wheel, get fully Fair super sport because you will need it. the Mt 10 is a fantastic bike that you can pick up in great condition for less than $10,000 and have an absolute blast with.
@@UuelHempkin-qh4jf just waiting on the tins at the paint shop. Decided to get it professionally done as I want the finish to be decent haha. Hoping in the nxt 2 weeks they'll be done.
Rabbit ears are amazing! However I tend to like the wider rabbits. Best long distance bars you could think of! Narrow or wide. Plus in tight areas they’re great, just need some muscle with em.
Sure makes the Cam Cover/Transmission area look smaller. Too bad this turns into an Oil Change if you do it as Synth Oil is pretty dear these days. Definitely a good look.
What tuner did you use for this again ?! Se or after market I’m curious if it makes a difference between say a se tuner and a power vision with the Hd tourqe cam
