Hi! I'm starting a RU-vid Channel that will post bi-monthly covers of songs from musicals or other genres. I'm looking forward to continuously improve the quality of my content and hopefully bring some joy to your day!

Я intj, это так жизненно, из всех людей всегда со мной разговаривает именно они, другие просто знакомятся и все, а они всегда пытаются понять кто я что я, и помогает всегда, я никогда не мог понять почему они со мной всегда общаются
Music question! What IS that effect called, when she's singing 'hell', where it bounces deliberately up and down in pitch? Because I fucking love that effect.
for the best singer i've heard so far for this cover, i absolutely love the voice for alastor! i could almost imagine those actresses from old noir films that i've seen!!!
Scylla specifically wanted to kill as many of odysseus men as possible because of circe. Circe being the one who turned her into a monster in some of her origin stories, and seein that odysseus had Circes favour this was the perfect opportunity. Mind you she would basically devour anyone who came close to her cliff but this time she had extra motivation. Also just saying: the insanity portrayed in her eyes *chefs kiss* It really shows that scylla was once a normal person turned into a monster, shes broken and/or has simply accepted what she has become (must do what it takes to survive)
I love it, but didn't Scylla have 6 monster heads? I could have sworn that is how she was described in The Odyssey, as 6 men died because Scylla ate them but then couldn't eat anymore because her heads were still chewing or something.
Fun Fact. Yea this is basically it honestly. He sacrificed 6 men to get across. It was either Scylla or Chary. Certain death or chance of death basically.
Doesn't Odysseus have to return through this strait later in the Odyssey, and takes the chance at passing Charybdis then? I dont think that's certain death then.
@@Sivanot He was on a wooden raft it wasnt even a boat. And what he did was he went the same way that hisd ship took and because Scylla was busy digesting she wasnt there to eat him which allowed him to get past Chary without any issue. Its boring yes but thats how it went down and if his Ship with his men where to go and choose Chary they would die. The difference in mobility from a large ship to a dinky raft. Both versions are fine. Its such a small part of his story that no matter how he got across he got across. I would also like to point out Epic The Musicals version of Odysseus isnt as cunning. For one Athena never actually interacted with Odysseus in person at all. Only with vague stuff. She was more involved with his sons life and making sure that Talemachus can stall until Odysseus comes in to clean shop. She posed as an old mentor. Odysseus was well liked by athena by how cunning and intelligent he was. She like him prefer to win a battle without actually fighting the battle. Which is why in the og story he avoid frontal confrontation as much as possible. The horse being the most famous example. Also theres no way Odysseus could ever kill Chary or Scylla so in God Games when ares said he didnt even kill Scylla bro is asking for a feat that maybe someone like Achi8lles or Diomedes could handle but Odysseus? Nah. Just like how he didnt fight the Cyclops. His men were eaten and he bided his time came up with a plan and escaped. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Essentially Athena played no real part in training Odysseus as well. He was honestly just built different. He is by far the moist badass of all the Heroes for Achieving what he did without any real assistance from the gods. They changed shit around him but they never directly affected him till Polyphemus. Even then he only recieved Assistance. Not actual help. Basically it was a fuck around find out. Do what we say and you live. Ignore our warnings die. His Crew is the perfect example of the Fuck Around and find out Mentality. All of their deaths were on them. They didnt listen to Odysseus so they died in the end. This is of course a very simplified rendition and maybe my own interpretation.
there is something about this that reminds me of a 90s Disney movie or one of the 2D animated DreamWorks movies I don't know why (referring to the voices though the animatic is also really good)
THIS SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL!! You all did such a good job with this. Mckiller nailed the 'What' 😂, Ibra killed it with his tone as Eurylochus, and your lovely playful voice fits Circe so perfectly!
Not gonna lie, i actually love the little detail in the end of her eye narrowing on “we must do what it take to survive.” because it highlights Oddesssyus’ (I CANT SPELL IT) philosophy of Ruthlessness if Mercy because she needs to eat the sailors in order to live ^^
But that's not Odysseus' philosophy. That was Poseidon's message. Also, it's likely that Scylla was particularly violent towards Odysseus' crew, given that they have Circe's support. Circe being the one to transform Scylla into a monster in the first place.
@@Sivanot Yeah but we can tell after Monstesr he starts taking the message to heart. We also see this in the clips of songs for the future. To be fair to Scylla, not many people traveled that way so assuming she needs to eat yes she would need it to survive.
This is a great cover, your singing is outstanding and everything, but, honestly, the vocals feel a bit too...overdramaticised? The words feel a lot more dramatic than they should be. Advice coming from a long time viewer of yours. Love watching creators as talented as you grow, lots of love!
