I don’t get why everyone’s hating on Youngblood, I get the characters could be a lot better but it’s really fun that they’re trying new things with the series
Wow, I honestly thought Wolfestein 3D was the first game in the series, and I thought THAT was super dated and borderline unplayable today. Seeing where the games began gives me a huge new appreciation for how mindblowing Wolfenstein 3D must have been at the time.
My Dad was definitely not a gamer, but we spent hours playing this game together when I was a kid. We had the entire thing mapped out on graph paper. Even when you expected it, the SS busting in on you all of a sudden was terrifying!
It's hard to fully appreciate it now, but this game really was not only a lot of fun but technically impressive, particularly the speech synthesis: that was quite a feat on an Apple II, especially for just being part of a game.
real it would be so cool if there were a game like Wolfenstein but 3d, maybe something like "Wolfenstein 3d". Yeah I think i like how this name sounds, hope someday someone makes it
What’s crazy is, the first wolfenstein 3d game wasn’t made by the same company that made this game. They made their wolfenstein 3d game based off castle wolfenstein because they were such big fans
When all the keys you needed were arrows, spacebar, and CNTL-S, and you were led on my the mysterious darkness of the screen rather than the creativity of hi-res bloodsplatters.
