I’ve been wanting them to retro the AF3 for a while now so this is pretty cool for me personally. But I get it’s an obscure model. I think that might have a lot to do with NIGO wanting to work on it. I’m a big supporter of him as well but I actually don’t like this collab. I’m hoping it means a few OG colors are coming sometime after. I’ve got baby pics of me wearing this shoe. I know I’m in the minority but you can’t say NOBODY is checking for this shoe, Jacques. I’m sure an AF1 will come. Maybe an AF2 as well, like a countdown. 🤷🏻♂️
those are not going to work. JB sneaks I'm speaking on. Jaylen probably won't make to All-star weekend in those sneakers. The look like work sneakers. The Air Force 3? Are incendiary the color pallets are going to be iconic. I feel we finally have a replacement for the AF1.
That's why putting that $50 million figure out there is so interesting. If 741 works, Jaylen looks like a genius. If it doesn't, everyone is going to point to that number.

If these cats really want to change the game, they need to band together and start from the ground up. Imagine if Jaylen and Kyrie decided, when they first had conflicts with the Swoosh, to get together on a new brand that was purely about performance. Who knows, perhaps they could’ve recruited Vanessa to the project, rather than signing that new deal letting Nike continue to profit off Kobe’s name. That team could’ve brought in top designers and engineers, excited to do something new with a potential major impact.
Air Force 3 & Air Force STS are certified classics! I’ve been waiting for them; just not in candy crush color ways… These deserve a more sophisticated color palette and materials package.
Kai is a modern minstrel show, the dot swoosh NFT crypto adjacent is wack. Nike just needs to step up quality. I don’t care if the boxes are smaller or recycled cardboard (I’m fine with both) but I’m not paying $180+ MSRP anymore. Even the LD-1000s are overpriced for being a low tech shoe that weighs less than a feather
It feels like we're getting there at least with the more generic colorways like the Team Bank, but don't count on the hyped colorways to ever be easily available.
I think Roger Federer's line from ON would be the closest we could get to what ON might do with a basketball shoe. With Federer being a huge basketball and Michael Jordan fan, he may try to make a basketball shoe. But I'm sure it would look completely different from his shoe, which I think is supposed to be both performance and casual. But honestly I'm down for companies thinking outside the box and making shoes for sports they are not known for... I'm just saying because they could excel at basketball and we won't ever know until they release something.
