I was searching for this kind of thing for a fair price (1 to 3 big faders for dynamics and expression) and I swear everything that seems good quality is sooo expensive 😭 Some brands like Monogram sell a pack with 3 faders, 3 knots and 3 drum pads for 500$ 😂 like ??? I really don't understand why these things are so overpriced. For me, 100$ is the maximum i would pay for it, so the Sparrow 3x100 seems like a good option. I would like to know, have you seek any other options (decent ones) for a similar price or even cheaper? And thank u very much for the info! :)
I totally agree with you on every point 😅 I usually see these midi faders have unnecessary features that cause the price to go up, or the cheaper ones just being way too short. All of my research led me to this one as the winner for best price for exactly the features I needed, but I also want to mention that it's possible some new options might have popped up since I made this video. I'd personally start with this, and then eventually upgrade to something more heavy-duty later if need be.
@@HyS.officialBtw I just discovered the Expressive E Touché SE. I didn't know about it and I think it's absolutely amazing 😮 idk, if I'm gonna spend some money, I might wanna spend a bit more and have something so good that feels like an instrument on its own, and that I can use the rest of my life. Also, it comes with a software and lots of preset sounds. For 230€ I think it might be worth it. I thought that maybe you would like to know about this :)
@LauraBallestrino Oh yeah, Expressive E's stuff is awesome! I think it's definitely something I'd like to invest in eventually. However, what's interesting is I still see a ton of composers sticking to long faders. Maybe a combination of both would be best? (although expensive haha)
are you using speakers too? I have the same settings as you and I get feedback from speakers. I had to set vocal channel to ext out and then turn monitor in
Great demo, interesting music, I'm getting one. Seems a year later they have the 4 fader version now. The song needs a timpani track with the spiccato strings :)
Glad the video could help! Seems other people are having issues when contacting customer support, so do be careful with that! And yeah, the song could do with more work, thanks for the fun suggestions!
Does anyone have contact details for The Midimaker - a phone number? I bought the Sparrow 3x100 this week and it was not working out of the box. I have now sent 5 emails to support and they are being ignored.
Strange, I've been messaged by someone else about having a hard time contacting The Midimaker as well. I'm not associated with them, but maybe I can help you out? What seems to be the issue?
Hey there! Usually you won't need motorized faders for envelope automation. That's more for mixing (especially with consoles). Many professionals use something like this for desk space efficiency as well as the smooth faders.
Hey just came across this remix and it sounds really good (I also watched your latest video). It’s a bit different from some of the other remixes I’ve heard. Hopefully everything goes well for your future 💙
Stupid question but I bought Sparrow... I kind of imagined once programmed via online app it would cover all instruments as assigned per channel 1 for example for that midi assignment, say volume. Another programmed to expression channel, etc. But doesn’t work? Do you have to assign for each software instrument each time you use it via midi learn? Keyboards always are assigned mod wheel for same channel. I thought would be same for Sparrow? Am I missing something obvious? Duh?
Personally I haven't tried assigning different functions to different channels. Have you checked to make sure a particular midi track was accepting a signal on the correct midi channel? I know in ableton you can specify the midi channel input for each specific device/midi track.
no worries, I'm glad to help! Currently I use (from left to right) CC 5, 1 and 11. I think I talked about it in the video. 5 controls glide or portamento, 1 for mod wheel, and 11 for expression. I leave the channel on 1 for everything since I don't have any reason to change the midi channel
Hey, thanks for making this remix. I've been listening to your version for hundred times already, it's my first choice of song for my daily commute and at work. It's a perfect combination of friday night fun and sunset melancholy if you already know the story of Asriel. I sincerely wish for mor people to find this piece since it's just *that* good.
Ah man, I don't know if this song is worthy of such high praise, but I really do appreciate you for it. Thank you so much, and I'm honestly just glad to know I've been able to be an enjoyable part of your days. Thank you again so much!
We are here for you HyS, glad you are here, and I hope to join you on this next journey of your life! Ps: Thank you for the sitting pigeons (they are cute)
This seems like something frisk would start playing like on the piano or something then would like take out a keyboard and Metaton would start dancing. (Temmie's would be Temmie's)
@@kbills9511 You know, I'm always so surprised when people comment on my videos, especially with kind words. It really means so much to me that you enjoy this music. I'll be doing a bunch more music/videos soon so stay tuned! 🥰
this remix is absolutely outstanding. i have no other words. this is amazing and perfect, this is by far the best remix i have ever heard of this song, i could literally have this on repeat for hours. thank you for making this remix, it is 100% one of the best (to me at least) 💙
you know, I have listend to hundreds of remixes of his theme alone and tons the other musical masterpieces from undertale being remixed and while alot blend in with the others of their kind, there are several that stand out and this is one of them. So thank you for peice because anytime I see a undertale remix esecialy of one of His Theme, Undertale, or Hopes and Dreams the good memories I have had with the game come flooding back. Also the fact that even after 5 years that you still answer peoples comments is realy cool, I wish you the best of luck. Also I love the artwork it seems about the right reaction to me.
@@HyS.official It's crazy how long this fandom has been going, I recall playing the game in 6th grade... I'm in my senior year of highschool and I'm 18.
