One of the many animations that fueled my desire to create what I am currently. There's so many things in my life that drove me into this direction... Just can't contain this dream anymore.
I just watched it. It's amazing. Especially the music. It has a Touch of 1950s Pirate movies. It's very subtile. I lkned the Action scenes the best. And the relationship between Jimmy and Silver. It totally doesn't feel line a Disney movie. It's a Don Bluth movie, made by Disney.
Apologies brother. In the midst of tweaking audio in order to get a lot crispier sounding. Hoping that helps somewhat. Where you from if you don’t mind me asking? :)
@@TheDrBug US pacific north west. May return the question? I may not understand them all but I enjoy learning about various British accents and locations.
I watched the film for the first time a few years ago, wow it dissapoints me this movie "flopped" its honestly very deep & thought provoking. Cant say that about alot of current media.
I always hold a special place in my heart for this movie. It was a very unique and well written masterpiece and it has always and forever will be in my memory.
The romantic ideal of the pirate wouldn't exist as it currently does without Long John Silver from the original Treasure Island and John Silver from Treasure Planet is an even better version of the character in my opinion.
My man, Treasure Planet is the best. While girls have their stories of princess', us lads have a tale abour adventures, and fathers. This video hits any boy close to home. As someone born at sea and with wanderlust, this is MY movie.
17th century power structures, 18th century aesthetic, 19th century living conditions and 22nd century technology. It’s such a unique combination, the only piece of media I can think of that comes close is Rogue Galaxy on the PS2.
I don't think Disney knew how to market a non-princess movie at the time. Also Disney was still seen as a little girls or kids brand at the time I remember.
I actually don't like the theory that Silver is Jim's father that left. The meaning of the story is finding a father figure in someone else, someone that didn't abandon him. If Silver is actually John's father, it would go against everything the movie is trying to say.
This came up in my timeline after I rewatched the movie because I was looking up the soundtrack. I used to defend to the death that Silver was Jim’s father, but now I think it works better without that implication.
If he was Jim's Dad, which I also hate the idea of, the whole "Didn't your old man teach you to pick your fights better?" Conversation is mute, because Silver would know what he did and that'd just be pointless to ask
Critical Drinker Sounds like he made a few Videos for a template and finde then everything is AI. He ALWAYS Sounds the same, it's either human Perfektion of repeating a boring pattern or not that good AI.
Great vid! Little tip, it's really difficult to hear the bits where you play clips from the movie, sound is dialled ALL the way down for some reason, your voice is fine tho.
That is beautiful you stated many things I felt throughout the movie. It’s also my favorite and very relatable and gives me courage. The movie is not hated it’s just widely unknown unlike other due to poor marketing and release date to other more popular movies and sequels of the time. I still have the dvd and Disney plus in Greece doesn’t have which saddens me. Disney set it to fail to find an excuse to the cheaper 3d animation which it worked but was it worth the cost? This movie deserves more love and appreciation and recognition despite its Oscar nomination.
I only heard ybout it one time at an Art Channrl where sn Artist made a painting of it and one short Documentary about the CGI used. I just watched it tonight. I LOVE it! 😭💎🫡💫
As you know, your videos are very underated. Trying to make your voice be: more vocal, more mouth movement, and more emotion-rich. People are by nature, dependent on the feeling of something, to then judge it. Currently, your editing is "the" top quality, but your voice gives the impression of: depressed, insecurity, annoyance, etc - this is not an insult, rather advice. Have a joyous day, and may you be properly be guided to the sound way. Good luck.
Really appreciate everything you’ve said brother. Any feedback is good feedback :) taking notes on all that you’ve mentioned! Have a blessed day, thank you :)
Charlie Chaplin would be characterized by a trained learning theorist as a young person shaped by being supported by his mother just enough to grow up in a stress-inoculated resilience situation. The stress in his youth did not destroy his brain wiring but compelled him to be extremely persistent in life. The writer of this narrative takes a stab at this concept but fails to inform the viewer of the scientifically well-documented concept defined above. His special beginning and his innate talent to entertain meant Chaplin had the mindfulness and poise above the fray of making movies to convey with rare wit and charm the sometimes-absurd characters he portrayed to the film audience. The spark of his talent grew into a flame when he found an opportunity and exploded into worldwide adulation when he began to have total control over how he could present his form of humor. Few creative geniuses in history have had the arc of change he enjoyed as a creative performer.
