That is how we ruin the world. Wood is not carbon neutral. Every cut leaves a 70%CO2 gap behind - trees are NOT CO2 neutral! Scientifically proven by 800 scientist in a pledge to the EU. You burn the one what saves us. A tree does a service to us beside GHG gas reduction, it produces oxygen and clean the air as well do store the water. Biomass burning is damaging our climate! Worst that burning oil.
The forests in the interior of bc burn every 100, 200 years, I in 10 years of logging have very rarely seen a tree older then 200 years old, in this area most of the stands are around 100 years old regrown from the last serious fire that wiped out entire drainages.
bonjour quelles villes en France ont des opérations forestières ... Je suis opérateur de machine forestière ici au Brésil ... et humblement j'aimerais savoir quelles villes de France ont des opérations forestières merci
Nowhere does it mention from WHAT lignin is extrected from? To kill a live thing to supplement cement or make a glue is not a GOOD thing? In my brain does not compute - to replace oil with destruction of everything in site but plastics/garbage is NOT a solution but a LIE
excellent.. The local town wants me to build a driveway access for my parcel, but there's lowland right where the property meets the road. They granted me permission to build a driveway through the lowland so I was thinking of using a corduroy foundation with road gravel on top. I don't think you would want to use a geotextile fabric in a permanent road structure because you want the logs to be buried in the gravel and peat to prevent rot. I have a lot of aspen, so would aspen last if buried properly aerobically?
Hello Brock, the use of a corduroy foundation would be appropriate here. Aspen logs are frequently used for corduroy across peatlands and as long as they are fully buried, it can take many decades (or longer!) for rot to occur. A geotextile could be used to separate the logs from the road gravel to help ensure that the voids between the logs remain clear to allow for water passage from one side of the road to the other. Good luck!
I do not understand one thing, TLS, measures heights, volumes, stem profile and so on. Is it also able to shape, on wood density, looks cellular, chemical composition of wood?
Wonder how many trees are being broken, sounds like over half.Buncher head would have been more controlled. quadco makes good bar style ones. That is if reach is the issue with this setup and not shorter boom associated with buncher style. Also could take strain off the dozer cable , with the pull or push of the buncher head around bigger stumps
Kraft lignin: Using Reused Waste Aggregate and Byproducts to Build Future Ecological Cities |Watch Out!! Download Free Sample Report: bit.ly/2M5x1Hc The lignin obtained from kraft pulping or sulfate process is called kraft lignin. Kraft lignin possesses distinguishing characteristics from native lignin and other technical lignins. Axiom MRC estimated and projected the volume of consumption of kraft lignin in terms of Kilo tones (KT) and revenue in terms of USD million by various applications.
Does the mill require a clean cut butt face or does the saw need make a complete cut to get the computer zero out every time. Have seen some videos where they stsrt the saw down just enough to spin the chain and then measure
David Toothaker there is sensors in there, when u grab a log and press a button it will go to the butt of the tree and zero out itself but the sensors never worked the greatest I found unless u have very straight wood like this, snow and ice throws the sensor off to,but the mills do like if the butts are a nice clean cut so just as easy to cut a chunk off then cut your desired length.
1:17 - operator appears not to be thinking about chain shot hazard - he has saw bar facing directly towards cab while cutting. would be fired for doing this in NZ
