I used to live in Pitlochry with my partner. You can always tell who's local as they walk in the road..... Unfortunately, today it's a multicultural place. It never was for a long time. Being considerate of other people and their privacy goes a long way up there. Parking up in the very beautiful spots is also quite annoying to those who live there. We generally turn up early to exercise our pets noisily as we value the peace and quiet at home. The trenches everywhere are also there for a reason. Trespass .
What a wonderful road trip, thank you so much for sharing it. "My hearts in the highlands"... you've been VERY lucky with the weather! Just wondering what Sunny might do if you take him off the lead?
There’s a fair chance we’d never see him again Candy, so we’ve decided it’s just not worth the risk 😬 Because he’s an older street dog, the chance of ever training him to ignore a good smell or running squirrel is slim to none!
Keep plowing the videos out - we’re all thoroughly enjoying them! We were supposed to be in Ireland ☘️ but that didn’t work out 😢 so you enjoying god’s own country 🏴 is keeping me going 💜
Hello! I am from Romania and i have a rescue ( literally my dog just got into a fight to protect a mom and her puppy from other big dogs). I could only keep the puppy but the mom ended up to a nice family as well. I am sure your dog would love if you spoke in romanian sometimes like "vino"- come here, "caine bun"- good dog, bravo! , "apa"- water, etc. It will increase the bond since you will sound most familiar to him ( it gets overwhelming even as a person to live abroad sometimes).Thank you for helping him! There are many good boys in the bad shelters here. Many mixed with carpathian guard dogs, which are great at any farm without training. I wish you plenty of fun, lovely time together!
Hi Alexandra! I did learn a few words when he first came over to England, but with treats and training he’s definitely picked up lots of English words now 🥰
Hi. This is just a little bit of advice for you. I live in Scotland and I suffer from coeliac disease and unfortunately I`m sorry to inform you that the lorne sausages have rusk ,which contains gluten. This very tasty food has to be avoided if you have a gluten intolerance. Glad that you are both enjoying Scotland. Also be very careful with tics as i contracted lymes disease from a tic while camping in Scotland.
Hi Graeme! I have managed to find gluten free Lorne sausages in one supermarket so far (Morrisons I think?) but am getting withdrawal symptoms as haven’t found any since! Yes, we are hyper vigilant about ticks on both us and the dog. I’m so sorry to hear that you ended up with Lymes, I hope it hasn’t caused you too much problems over the years x
Gloucester Services looks fab. I saw them on a program on BritBox here in Oz and they also showed the local farms they bought the produce from. Much nicer than our service centres in Australia which are anchored by a McDonalds and other fast food joints.
Oh really?! Yeah. Most of our services are full of cruddy food places, I think that’s why we all flock to these ones as it’s such high quality produce ☺️
I had a pottery shop on etsy and I sold VERY little. I hate that they have allowed non handmade items on their platform. Used to love them, but you have to check to make sure where your item is shipping from.
Normally, with the Bodum French Press, you pour the water in, let it brew for 4 minutes, push down the plunger and then pour the coffee. With this travel press/mug the coffee stays in the container and will continue to brew as you drink it-doesn’t the coffee get super strong the longer it sits?
I was tucking into some of last night's leftovers while watching this vid - your cowboy sausage casserole! (Thanks to your recent Instagram post - was delicious 😊 ). PS, watch those ticks, there's billions of them up here!!
Nettle seeds are natures cocaine. So, I started watching this video and it seemed like my kind of thing so I went to the homepage to see your other videos and then I was so disappointed as I was not expecting videos about eating squid and other animal corpses. Dunno, I thought you’d be pure. Vegan.
Great Vid Janey. Some great content with some beautiful views. I;m so glad you listened to me about posting, posting, posting!!! It looks like you are having a fab time! Did I mention I would love to cwtch your pup? He's gorgeous!!
Thanks for keeping us all updated on your travels Janey! Most enjoyable. I'm glad you're finding the time and mojo to post about your travels (JEALOUS MUCH!!!). I love your dog. I could couch(cwtch) ( Welsh for cuddle/love/snuggle/squeeze) him to death!!! Keep posting girlie!!! Loving it!!
I feel your pain on the pre-departure chaos. I had ordered and collected my medication in good time before departure but have forgotten to take them almost every morning become an air head and my tablets aren’t on the bedside table where they normally are at home………..but I’m still alive!! Who needs tablets 😂
