Great video sorted my faulty gearbox issue, found one of the solder fittings to be loose

I've replaced mine and it works but get a warning on the dash that there is a gearbox fault would this need to be reset by Citroen

Thank you for posting this great video, 🙂 was it a bad soldering joint on them pins ? as i have a similar C4 in our workshop and someone has replaced the gearbox and still had the same problems!! no gear selector available, just showing 'N' all the time. your English was good enough, so don't worry about that my friend 😇

Please I have problem with my Citroen C4 it doesn't engage when you shift it to reverse it comes to "N" but remains in "R" but it shows "N" and also A it turns to N car sometimes drive and stops

Just to pile on, great video, to the point and helped me fix the same problem. I didn't see any cracked solder joints on mine, but it was very skimpy on the amount of solder. Just reflowed and added some fresh solder and it worked!

Thank you. This resolved my issue as well! I didn't appear to have any dry joints but we resoldered anyway and it appears to have fixed it. Time will tell if it has fully fixed it but for the moment it's working great!

I did the same ,worked great but then it was hard to get into Neutral or it stayed in A , then worked for a time but played up again , so when it started to work its ok , leave it over night may not work in the morning , my diagnostic tool saying selector lever ?

Hello, my 2009 Citroen grand Picasso. I get a message "Gearbox faulty" When i move the gear lever, nothing happened, it does not go to "'D" , it stays on "N" and sometimes the car does not start, and other times it starts. The OBD II says "Manufacturer Controlled Transmission. Code P 1834" what do you think the problem is?

Use 60/40 tin lead solder otherwise the dry joint will happen again, few years later! Good video btw! Thanks
