My m12 screwdriver is still going strong 8 and a half years later! Non fuel model. Low voltage electric work, appliance repair, fixture install, mounting TVs, installing outlets. One of the most practical purchases I’ve ever made.
A bend of 20-30° would be enough, I'd think.(to clear the wires) It also would leave you with more pulling power, because a 90° bend would make for an awkward angle to pull and squeeze at the same time. But that's just my thought about it.. 😁 Would like to know your favorite plier brand of the year! (and all-time) Mine is, as it probably will be forever, Knipex.
In using the other types of pliers to show examples of suggested design directions or improvements, you basically proved the Lisle Disconnect Pliers are unneeded and inferior to common designs. Nearly every other pliers you showed doing the Lisle's "job" were as easy to use and worked as well or better, despite not being specifically intended for the disconnect pliers role. They all were also much better quality, IMO, as I own most (or maybe all) of them and the Lisle ones, too. I regret buying the set I have, TBH, and admit I fell victim to the tool-fluencers...
@@lastbesttool I do it for a living every day. Your demonstration lacked the grit and gunk that accumulates on connectors, or the odd access angles, but otherwise was accurate. The Lisle pliers have not been any more helpful than a set of Knipex Cobras.
Really not a fan of double sided bits. It's fine in a cheap flip screwdriver with 2 philips and 2 slot, but i dont want flip bits in a bit driver. I bought this a few years ago, and it's been great. $32 is a steal.
I hate how they release a new Arkfeld and I always seem to want it more than the one I have. I have the Winter titanium model and the Pro Racing model. This one looks like it belongs in Master Chief's pocket and I have a feeling it would last longer in my HVAC work than the soft aluminum Pro model I have now. I swear if I buy one of these and they come out with a Halo edition later on, I'm never buying another Olight again.
The lack of USB C on these Olights is an automatic no from me. Absolutely no company should be selling products with a mandatory proprietary charger now a-days.
I have the ratcheting screwdriver and a few pliers from snap on, and i can only get them through ebay. And its expensive as all hell, but they take everything i through at them
Wow, Olight does cover their non removable batteries for Life in their lifetime warranty: If you purchased an Olight® product from the USA after January 1st, 2023, the local service centers will honor your LIFETIME WARRANTY for your purchase. If your Olight product (including its structure, built-in battery, LED, or lens) ever experiences any issues, we promise to take care of it. If we are unable to repair your product, we will promptly replace it with a product in perfect working condition, which will be of equal or better physical condition. If your purchase is a limited or discontinued edition of Olight product, we will repair or replace it with another Olight product of the same or higher value."
I ordered one just to add to the collection, but WOAH I’m so impressed with it, I really wasn’t expecting it to be this good. The beam on this thing is pretty crazy for how tiny it is
Contact them about it, it says on the back of all their packaging if you have a tool idea to let them know and they will work with you on it. That's how those electrical disconnect pliers came about in the first place. Lisle is great
Legitimate people sell on marketplace etc The only people who sell for bottom dollar to a pawn shop are thieves and addicts Don't support pawn shops. At their best, they take advantage of the poor, and at their worst they're just a brick and mortar fence.
people dont get what a snap on tool is for its for the shop Forman the main shop tech that has to loan tools to people that dont know how to use them or for the tech that uses that tool every day you dont care about the price of the phone you use every day
They need to make a Warrior mini with that turbo head. Then add the ability to use two CR123a's and that will sell like hotcakes. That might make up for the terrible warrior micro. Which has less lumens and candela than the baton 3. Which makes no since.
I'll probably get this. But I wish more people knew about and would ask Olight to bring back the S1A Baton. It ran on a standard rechargeable 14500 cell AND it could also use a single AA battery. I'm other words it's a perfect EDC Light. It fits in the pocket well, it's plenty bright with 600 lumens with the 14500 (220 lumens with AA battery). And both battery type are easy enough to find. And you can get AA's at almost any store or gas station.
Better options out there to fit your need I think. Reylight is another that's stormed the scene as great EDC lights. The LANapple takes an AA battery or 14500, excellent emitter (better than anything Olight use), premium build/materials, and at a reasonable price.
If you search on amazon for the original straight lisle disconnect plier you will find it listed by many different sellers and also many similar versions as well.
I received my Baton Turbo in OD green yesterday. It's a very nice light, with excellent throw for its small size and great build quality. I really like the battery and brightness meters around the switch. Another reviewer mentioned that it can also accept some standard 18350 batteries, but it can't charge them internally.
I can confirm it will run other 18350's.. used a Wuben protected button top 18350 and it worked perfectly. Would never use cr123a, but that option made it possible for other non Olight batteries due to the internal design.
