Thank you from rescuing me. I'm fitting a muslin and I was staring at the enormous 7" waist dart I needed to make it fit going, "I'm certain there's a better way..."
Lovely work. I love center and lap zips, they have a vintage feel to them. I've been completely hand sewing invisible zips in lately but can we do it for centers and laps?
I just stumbled upon your videos, I am amazed at how easy you make drafting, thank you so much for uploading your videos, you are my new channel to binge watch from now on 🥰❤
Thank you so much Annette you videos are so educational First time I am coming across an online class about radiating darts been looking for it for a long time... Thank you soooo much
This has been so helpful! Thank you for taking the time out to demonstrate this ❤️ In the future, I would love to see a sewn draft of the sleeve. Thank you so much ❤️
Hello Annette - enjoyed the tutorial. Sorry I wasn't able to find the next part in the video series, but I had a question. If I have a sleeve block (to fit my torso sloper), could you tell me what changes would have to be made if I made say a half inch increase to the armhole depth (for a jacket pattern) as well as smaller increases to the shoulder width and mid point of armhole (about one-fourth inch). The reason I 'm asking is: Can I make alterations to the the sleeve block to fit these changes or should I just draft a new sleeve to fit the altered armhole. Thank you for any help you may offer.
Your videos are so helpful! I am following this video, and I completed a halter pattern by following your halter tutorials earlier today. I'm reading pattern making for fashion by Helen Joseph Armstrong, and it's much easier to make patterns by watching you than by reading the book's instructions.
First off- thank you SO MUCH for your videos, I've used them and I love them. I do have one suggestion, though, and it really might only apply to me personally. I would find it helpful if you showed an image of the type of garment you're drafting. Like- I had to google 'blouson' because I wasn't quite sure what that meant. I'm not super familiar with the terms. I also wasn't sure what a shawl collar was- there are SO many different kinds of collars. It's hard for me to picture the end result sometimes when I'm not familiar with the terms. An image and brief explanation of what it is would help me.
Fantastic. I was stuck doing a button stand and how to finish/ sew and draft the button side of the shirt as well as the button holes this video has sorted out this problem for me. Love your videos, they are really well explained and give clear and concise information , instructions that are simple and not overly complicated. Thank you so much h.
