@@inamisho1 I definitely feel my best in cool toned colors! I started experimenting after I got a color analysis 3 years ago and learned I’m cool toned and haven’t looked back ☺️
I think people who are actually stylish are still stylish and look for 'pieces'. Everyone else just buys the uniform of whatever group they identify with at the time. Fast fashion is definitely not a positive thing.
@@rventura101699rv totally recognize this isn’t the most comfortable style! However I still don’t think the quality or comfort level is acceptable for the price
I've been really into Sezane these past 4 months and I feel like i was hearing something new in this video. My experience with the Paula Babies has been overall great but yeah....I dont feel like i personally had to size up?? There's a small gap at the back when i wear them. The narrow toe box is what hurt me at first a bit but with more wear, it's getting more comfortable. However, i am trying to take care of the insole by putting antiperspirant on my feet at night or wearing socks lol
@@xrubyxlightx yeah I agree the Paula Babies are true to size. Glad to hear they get more comfortable with wear! You’re a genius- how have I never thought to use antiperspirant on my feet? Wearing them with socks is so cute and practical
How is the Leontine holding up colourwise? Does the navy fade with washing? I do like it better than the ecru, however usually navy in cotton tends to fade a lot faster. I enjoyed your video a lot, thanks for sharing.
Just fyi, not all Conrad tee colors stretch like the gray one. I have a white one with a pristine neckline after two years. I've returned a gray La Chamade Conrad exactly because I noticed the neckline wasn't tight like my white. Not sure what other colors have this issue.
I'm a soft summer and I love black for the base layer althaugh I know it's not in my pallette. But now I wear it with blue and grey scarves, jackets or coats, not black or red, as I did in the past. Specially in winter, when my skin is pale.
I'm also a soft summer! My favorite colors palette is much darker or brighter and more intense than what looks good on me, so now I primarily wear soft summer clothes but with accessories that are more my favorites. I get more compliments when I'm wearing color tones that flatter me
Thank you for being honest! I tried on a pair and was shocked at how uncomfortable they were. 5 people, including a Nordstrom sales associate, told me not to get them for my upcoming Europe trip. Every single person said they are uncomfortable and that they only continue wearing them because they paid a lot of money for them. I don’t understand the hype and really don’t know how anyone could claim they are even remotely comfortable. There are so many other comfortable sneakers out there.
@@jayweiable I don’t understand how they’ve gotten so much hype and a I’m genuinely confused by how many people say they’re amazing. Totally agree, there are way better options at this price point!
You are decluttering a wardrobe that most of us would strive to Declutter to that outcome. Are you serious? That’s the best you want to Declutter? Most of us cleaning out 4, 5, 6 closets. I’m sorry to be honestly brutal but there it is.
@@Michelle-yf2dk I’ve declutterred countless times over the past 3 years to get to this point. I’ve gotten rid of probably 80% of my clothes since I started so I hear you! As of today, this is what a declutter looks like for me. Good luck on your journey
Thank you - this was really helpful! I have been thinking about getting these precisely because they are so hyped but holding back because they are 100% polyester and that to me, does not signal good quality. They do however look really good.... And laughed out loud when the dog bounded in! Classic! 🤣
Glad it was helpful! They're soo hyped. To be fair I don't think polyester is always bad. Polyester can be high quality and treated to be anti-wrinkle... but these certainly aren't. I'd love to know what you decide to go with! And those dogs sure kept me on my toes 😂
This was so helpful!! Thanks!! I love the idea of a digital closet! That honestly will help my adhd so so much 😂 also, I love your entire travel wardrobe!
@@autumnhamm9381 Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful! It's a pain to setup but is soo worth it-- I have a video about digital wardrobe tracking if you want more info on how it works! I don't have affiliate links yet but really appreciate you wanting to support! Lmk if you have any questions about brand/item names 🥰
@@McKayMusick I think comparing more pricey brands like aritzia and zara and banana republic on quality and style would be interesting, just to see which brand is more worth it
catching up on all your videos! what size did you end up going with in the sezane Emile and the other stripe sezane jumper? Did you find they run true to size? thank you! looking forward to more!
Thanks for watching 🥰 the leontine is true to size- I took an xs but also could have taken a s for a looser fit. I sized up to a m in the Emile for a relaxed look and the smaller sizes were a little scratchier because they sit closer to the skin. I’d say to size up if you can- it’s also a very forgiving fit so multiple sizes could work it just depends on your preference.
@@McKayMusick thanks for the info! I’m looking at the pink in the Emile - hoping it’s a combination of summer pink, but so hard to tell on the computer
@@katie3700 I find it helpful to have an album with my palette and examples I can easily reference and see if shades “fit.” I also like to think of the principles- I’m a true/cool summer so I’m looking for cool, bold and smoky (or at least a couple of those qualities because it’s rare to find an exact match.) You’ll get it down and it’ll feel like second nature! ❤️
Loving this content - just watched your tracking your clothes video too - I recently found out I’m a cool summer as well and most of my closet is black 😬 would love more info on how you shop; where you shop and your strategy for deciding what to buy and how much - I’m learning! Thank you! ❤
@@katie3700 welcome to the cool summer club! I still wear pieces that are outside of my summer palette- color analysis should be a fun, helpful tool but ultimately only you know what you feel good in ❤️ These are great questions and I have a lot of thoughts- I’d love to include them in a longer video! 🥰
Hello! I just found your chanel and watched a couple of videos. I am curious what your colour analysis said. What season are you? I love the colours you kept in your wardrobe and i think they suit you very well.
@@Mon-Blue-Cat welcome! Learning my season has been a great tool in discovering what I feel good in and working towards a cohesive closet 🥰 I’m a cool summer which is the boldest of the summer palettes. I look best in cool, bold, and smoky colors. I have medium contrast which means I can handle some bold combinations. I’m working on an in depth video so let me know if you have any questions 🥰
Fantastic! You make me want to visit NYC! I don't suppose you might do another one with just the food, and slower quick cuts? :-) I need to focus in on those delicious meals you had!
The cold colour scheme fits you so well! I never really thought colour analysis is an actual thing but this really changed my mind. It would be so nice if you could do a video about your colour analysis! :)
@@vagemutig thank you, I highly recommended! I had my colors done 2+ years ago and it really changed my perspective and helped me find colors that I feel amazing in! I’m planning to make a video so let me know if you have any requests/questions 🥰
They’re the Madewell curvy perfect vintage straight jean in hoye wash. They’re super comfortable and have held up great (I’ve worn them about 200 times). The only caveat is that I had the waist taken in. This style was discontinued but the 90s straight is almost identical, just slightly wider!
Amazing video! I just wanted to ask what's your opinion on blended fabrics, for example cotton and viscose? I would like to know your experience with these types of fabric compositions.
It really depends on the blend. I generally prefer 100% natural fibers but sometimes they're needed for practical reasons or are justified at the price. For example, I can accept a Sezane sweater with 20% poly because it's minimal synthetics, it makes the alpaca fibers stronger, and I just love the design. But I wouldn't be ok with 80% poly and 20% natural fibers for the same design. I'm a huge fan of cotton! I'd prefer to buy 100% cotton over a blend when possible. Viscose is soft but it's prone to pilling, shrinking, isn't durable and is often used to cut costs so I try to stay away from it. AND I just bought a pair of white linen/viscose pants because the linen wrinkles and can be sheer so the viscose helps offset both. In that case, I'll sacrifice some breathability and durability for less wrinkles and an opaque pant... All that to say it really depends!
Hi! I'm new here. I'm enjoying your content so far! I'm a much better online thrifter than in person thrifter. But, I want to improve my skills, so here I am! My take away from the tip about going through the go-backs is less about it being a better shot at of finding something good, but more about, if it's in the go-backs, it's not on the main rack. If it's not on the main rack, you'd miss it because it's in the go-backs. I think part of my problem with in person thrifting is that I'm an all or nothing type gal. I either go through it all (not the racks that aren't my size, I'm with you on that!) but every single item wherever it makes sense to look. That's exhausting! Or I halg-a$$ it, and barely move a hanger in the whole store🤷♀️ Thanks for the tips, I'll have to give them a go soon!
Online thrifting is a great option! You're right about missing pieces on the go-backs. I prefer to think about thrifting as a numbers game (what are my odds and how can I be the most efficient). I'd rather not wade through a mix of sizes/categories but there could be gems! I get that; looking at everything takes foreever and is exhausting. I've found that having constraints (ie color palette, natural fibers, etc) really helps me cut through the noise and move faster. Let me know how it goes!
@@supermariotoad6519 thanks for watching! I live in the Seattle area which is a pretty mild climate. Summer days are long, sunny, warm, and mostly rain-free (usually a high of 70s-80s F). About 3 months of nice weather. Winter days are short, rainy/humid and cloudy. We really only have 2 seasons: wet (most of the year) and dry.
Like you, I only want natural fibers and always go look at the content tag on the side seam. I don't even do rayon, which technically is made from wood pulp but pills & tears easily. Even if a piece is perfect for my wardrobe, I know it will not work in the long run. I wear alot of linen & cotton in TX. Silk seems too hot unless its a loose weave or scarf. I do especially wear scarves in travel capsules for versatile looks that take up little space in suitcase & there are plenty second hand. Good tips! Im totally on board w/ the peeve about people "hiding items" in the wrong spot- very frustrating. 🙅♀️
Totally agree, I don't even bother with rayon anymore! So important to consider the fiber content & your climate when shopping. Great idea to pack scarves, they're great for layering.
