Somebody knows why when playing coop and the other person die, the skull inside the coffin of the ally, should not be destroyed?? cause i think this is the reason that later in game, when open another time the coffin of the dead ally, i loose all my inventory!! is this the reason of it or there is a limited number of resurrects or what!?? Ah and in xbox live version the colour of the torch can be switched in 4 colours... wtf means that????? Good video Thx!!
I always hated this part. I am very, very claustrophobic. If given a chance to choose life over death but life involved worming my way down a tunnel I can barely fit, I'd choose death. Hell, I'd offer myself to the Necromorphs complete with a silver platter and an apple in my mouth.
now that Legends is done, I've decided to get back into this as I only need to get all the Lums and time trials for 1000G. Great tips. They really help with the few I missed.
Well i must say this is a lot easier to do when its alone then with friends, lol :) good quick video! Tried to do it with another person then a third , best way to do it is alone or atleast so i think.
I got it after about 200 tries, using one of the Teensie characters. I slid on the rope and jumped up the masts as fast as possible. Then, on the way down, I didn't hover very much but let the character fall most of the way.
It's been a while since I've done this (over a year actually), but IIRC you'll need to replace one of the normal selectable characters' spritesheets with a custom one (same filename too). Then, when you go to choose a character in-game you should see your character replace the slot of the overwritten one. You have to be careful though, because if the dimensions and setup of the new spritesheet don't match the old one, weird visual issues could happen.
Grey Mayo The Windows Steam version of the game could have a directory something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Spelunky\Data\alltex\PLAYERS". That's where you'd find the spritesheets for modifying characters. I actually don't recall if this step is necessary since it's been so long since I've done this, but it's quite possible you might first need to "unpack" the game's textures before you can modify and then repack them. If that is the case (and you'll probably know if you don't see anything like an "alltex" folder anywhere), search online for custom spritesheets for Spelunky or a texture unpacking tool for the game and that should lead you to instructions on where to download the simple unpacker/repacker and how to use it. It's not too complicated, don't worry, you just need to find it if you need it.
