OMG I have literally done the exact same thing with the cbn books lol I have so far outlined 11 in babies and I've decided I'm going to outline every page I can in black then go back and do something with the others when I've completed the whole book I'm not colouring it until I've outlined every page 😂
Hi- To be honest I'm not sure of the actual differences between the two. I can tell you that personally I enjoy the square better. I feel they are just a more vibrant pencil than the round- though the round are not bad either. I am not sure if the two are the same and I wish I could answer. In my opinion, if you don't have a set try to buy the square and also in my opinion-you wouldn't need both. I don't feel there is a huge difference in the two as far as that goes. But they are a more budget friendly brand so having both isn't out of the realm of possibility- if you're a collector.

I looked at some books that interested me like Jar Worlds, Easy Spring, and advent calendar color by number and I like how you keep track of how many pages you color in a book how did you make a book to keep track of your coloring book pages
For the page I created for the tracking I just opened up a pages document (I have a macbook) and added shapes. I added squares for the boxes and then just numbered them. I'm sure google and other programs can do the same. It wasn't anything intricate because I'm not that tech savvy anymore lol
I was actually shocked Vasil Saiko didn't do any more books.. he did those two and then was just done, apparently. They are so popular, he must have sold thousands of them... and they have held popularity over time as well which is rare.
I totally agree our books shouldn't fall apart. Being in the US almost everything is glue bound and I had similar issues. They literally have one job and publishers are failing already with most of our paper, but the binding is just terrible. I broke down and took two of my favorites to my local print/copy shop and had them spiral bound just so I could keep using them.. and loved it so much I spiral every book I buy now. Not only do they not fall apart, they flip over and lay totally flat. It costs me a few extra dollars but it is 100% worth it.
Maybe I'll do this as well. I never thought about it, but it makes sense. It's a shame to have to fall apart. The Universal Monsters seems to be better 🤞🏻
I don't plan anything. I work full time and color when the mood hits and I have the energy, completely on a whim. I do love the idea of the photo journal though.. that is brilliant. It's so easy to forget you even colored something, especially when you have more than a few books. How nice to have it all in one place, to flip through whenever.
I am happy doing the photo journal. It makes it easier for me to see what i've done. I hear you about the planning- I enjoy it, but sometimes when the month rolls around I'm not feeling it 😆 thanks for watching
I was suppose to get the Universal Monsters coloring book with some other stuff from Amazon on Friday and they lost my package. LOL I have to reorder it. The dracula in The Beauty Of Horror book you couldn't think of is Christopher Lee. I love that page of the lineup of dracula's. Such a clever idea. Thanks for sharing all your plans!
Beautiful pages, thank you for shaing. I have the Smurfs book and I really enjoy the outlining too. As far as the paint pens, I have the Ohuhu and they never seem to clog. The Tooli-Arts are a huge issue for me. I saw a video (I think it was Shells Coloring Journey) and she said she cleans the Tooli Art markers after each use. Maybe that is the secret, but I have not tried it.
My Ohuhu never clogged either and give had them for years. I don't use them much so I figured they would've clogged, but then didn't. I don't have the patience to clean them after each use 🤣
And do you follow @feralshojo? She gets an amazing amount of color by numbers done. I think she uses a paint brush with acrylic paint occasionally. I'm amazed at the number of pages she does.
I have a huge problem with my Tooli-Arts too with the color by number books. They clog a lot. I'll pull the nib out, rinse and/or soak them and even try to blow air throw them with my mouth -- TMI -- and I still just get so frustrated. I love the Arrtx and GuangNa acrylic markers. Portrait of the Mermaid, I have 5 pages left to do in that book and I cannot seem to pick it up. I want to finish it but I'm definitely not feeling it this month. I love the washi tape and the way you did that background. And now I'm looking for the Smurf book...lol Thanks for sharing, and I hope you have some good reading in store. :)
Thank you!! I was able to snatch the coloring book off Amazon US. It was a little pricey, but you can probably find it stocked on amazon France. Keep checking Amazon US, or maybe Lireka I'm finishing up The Throne of Glass Series, I'm on book 7. I have a few on the back burner for when I'm finished. It's sad when you finally finish a series lol
I’m on the Powerless Trilogy. I’m an audiobook person, tho. I’m a court reporter/stenographer so when I have time to practice or downtime at work, I’ll speed it up and write to the audiobooks. All downtime at home is for coloring 😂
I love my mythographic books I found that alcohol markers, watercolor pencils blended out with a colorless Alcohol blender, water based markers and gel pens are the most effective mediums in those books and they are the fastest mediums I can do a page a day with those mediums! Hope this helps!
I really need to start coloring in my Mythographic books, but like you, I have not found a medium I like on this paper. I haven't tried markers yet, and probably will next. Hoping to find my groove in these books as well, because I really like them -- and I have a HUGE stack of them! 😳 I also have that Candy and Cream book (PDF) but haven't colored in it yet. I have so many of her PDF's and one physical book I really need to color more of her pages. I am so excited for Kerby's Dark Fairy Tales book. So far all the pages I have seen look amazing! This is right up my alley too. I love dark fantasy and gothic/halloween stuff, so I am looking forward to the release. I have Mythic World and still have not colored in that one. I said I was going to work in his books this year, and so far I have failed miserably. 😫I am intimidated by his pages, and a lot of them are double page spreads which I am so slow at coloring it would take me months to finish. I think I may pull out one of his books and try to work on a page in between others. I just fear I will get bored and end up abandoning it. I tend to do this if a page is taking too long. And yes, the werewolf page in Mythomorphia is a fave of mine too! I wish I had the courage to do it. I am afraid of ruining it as well. LOL 😄 Thanks for sharing your plans!
You just have to dive right in when it comes to his books. Start on a single page. If you follow My Colorful Country Life on RU-vid she has a full book color along to Mythic World. That may make it easier. I know when I get back to that book I'll be following some of her pages because it just makes it easier. Plus her pages are so pretty, lol. Thank you for watching
@dustdeecoloring I really struggle to follow color alongs. I start out ok, but then end up going off on my own, usually not realizing it. 😅 I do the same thing with color palettes. I'm going to look through his books and pick a page, I think. Will see how it goes. 😆
What the name of the pastel pencils I have been looking for some but I need to be able to sharpen in my Dahl 133 some you have to sharpen with a knife and I’m not doing that I’ll cut off a finger for gods sake 😂
It was a lot, I can't remember the exact number. I pretty much just printed the entire one that listed thr Prismacolor pencils since I use them the most. I went through an entire supply of brand new ink and I have an HP Inkjet.
