Yes I definitely agree with the eating outside thing. It have you wondering about are you really cleaning your hands good before you make my food. Right now I just can’t afford to eat out how I use to because of this exact reason that you experience ! Great video 🥰
Aww man. I’m obsessed with the wine holder 😢. And girl I agree, I’ve just pushed my way to the grocery store due to the added fees. Sprouts is my go to. I haven’t had matcha is years. Make me some! I’ve limited my dining out after a recent unexpected allergic reaction and have been enjoying elevating dining at home. I’m happy you guys are making a conscious effort. It’ll be worth it. my matchas are much better at home too! i get so nervous ordering at cafes. very rarely have i been satisfied. and that’s wasted $$ and agreed with the touching the hair and skin. the worst is when someone has the nerve to have on gloves and still touching. 😫
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am right at one year and I have days when I love them and then there are days that I want to take them down. Dealing with some thinning, but I’m going to push through.
I’ve learned a level of patience I didn’t know I lacked until starting my sisterlocs journey also. I’m just over two years into my hair journey and it’s finally giving.
Thank you for your transparency. I have my tester locs and I will be getting my locs installed at the end of July!! I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I was contemplating wearing a wig. Because of being afraid of how my hair would look in the beginning. But this is quite an investment and I have to embrace my new look and my new beginning before anyone else!! ♥

Thanks for sharing this new perspective in your loc journey. While I’m not part of the community, I have been frustrated with my hair and my hair is responding. If you can’t use water, try aloe vera plant. That made my hair strong and grow very fast. I just restarted my locs, this time sister locs. I am going to use aloe vera again like the last time. My hair grew to waist length in 5 years.

@6:52 - made no since - LOL! I was basically trying to say "I added oil to my hair before washing it. I wanted my hair to be clean and free of product, but also moisturized".
I remembered you mentioned you wash loose without braiding and banding. The bunching could be a result of stopping too early. Everyone is different but I braided and banded beyond when I needed to and used the starter shampoo for a little longer and I feel like that gave my locs more maturation time.
You know what - that’s a good point. Perhaps I did stop braiding and banding too early. Lord help me. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, bc I didn’t think about that.
I’ve gone back to using conditioners after shampooing and using leave in, oil and moisturizers. My hair was feeling too dry without it. I’ve not experienced any adverse effects.
I’ve been thinking about cutting my locs for some of the same reasons as you. My stylist advised I wait until I make 3 years because of concerns that the cut locs would start to unravel. Trying to hold out for the next several months but I’m really antsy.
