According to Hidetaka Miyazaki, this fight... this SPECIFIC fight, and this game's targeting system and combat, informed much of the Dark Souls' series design ethos. This game was so good, it inspired an entire series of MASTERPIECE games years later.

the boss theme of this game is the most epic of all mario and luigi games, also the darker story, battles and bosses are the bests of all the series :D its story uses the past and present, doing it really be really dangerous to mess and good for story :D
I miss the 3DS era. This brought back so many memories and nostalgia, among tears and love for this game. I absolutely love it with all my heart, and I hope this gem of a game will forever go down in history as the single BEST MARIO AND LUIGI RPG EVER!
I remember when this game came out, I was around 7-8 when I got it, and as soon I was able to leave Kokiri Forest and I ended up finding Malon in town searching for her dad; kid me knew what a first 'crush' was. It's hilarious to think back on it now, but back then the graphics were so mindblowing. I think at that age I was old enough to play it and progress, but also young enough to just make my own stories up and 'explore,' which was also wild because it was the first real game I remember playing that wasn't a 2D side-scroller. I used to spend literal hours just 'roleplaying' on the farm, pretending I was married to Malon and lived there and we had all these chores to do and upkeep to take care of the farm, LOL. Goodtimes. That was like ... 24 or so years ago, and now I have kids of my own, my oldest loves BoTW. The cycle continues, and it's awesome to see. TLDR this made me nostalgic as hell. I'd love to be a kid again just for a day.
This song is almost never bad, but there’s almost never a remix that really captures its power and strength so well, with extra bits thrown in that make sense to the song!! This is amazing!!!

That reminds me of a fangame I own, which takes place after Majora's Mask and before Twilight Princess, but it explains how there were followers of Ganon during and after the events of OoT that were dedicated to creating an artifact to counteract the Master Sword known as the Trident of Power (and Zelda bore the Staff of Wisdom, which is now canon being called the Echo Staff). It even speaks of using the pieces of the twin swords during the fight with Link as a source of it's demonic power and will. It'd be reasonable to state that the item and it's power against the Master Sword might be canon, though not done in this manner.
I still love this game. I’d be a terrible Dixie main if I didn’t have perfect movement with her by now, which I have absolutely mastered her by this point.
One thing I love about this remix? The different instrumentations. Try, Try Again uses samples of real instruments, while Victory in the Dream World primarily uses electronic music samples. And there’s also that one part where the melody disappears and is replaced with a series of new notes. I like to think of it as Luigi filling gaps in his memory of the song with something else.
