This channel is about almost anything technical. I started it more than 12 years ago for Microsoft Windows help, but I've slowly expanded it to more and more areas.
Back in late 60's I was almost fortunate enough to get drafted. But instead I entered the Air Force and ended up in an intensive training program that lasted several months. It covered electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, engines (gasoline and jet) and even air conditioning. So I ended up with a broad knowledge of how things worked. Over the last 50+ years, I've expanded that knowledge so I can repair just about anything. In addition, I've added 30 years working with computers. So instead of just giving people help about computers, software or games, I've branched out to give that same free advice to anyone who needs it about anything technical.
By the way, I'm not going to bad mouth other computer Operating Systems or certain tech. You won't find any opinion posts, visits to tech conferences and such. Just help.
wow dude your amazing, i just bought the trilogy of the games yesterday and i didnt know my game had a problem until i noticed the game had no sounds other than shooting and walking, and maybe some cutscenes had music, thank you for helping!
I would like to take credit for the actual patch, but it was another guy. I just put it out there so it was easier to find and install it. Enjoy Max the way he was intended to be played!
hey! Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. I followed all the steps and was able to play the game but whenn I switched off my PC and turned it back onn it won't open. Can you tell me what could be causing this and how I could fix this bug? thanks in advance
@@Oldguygeek so I can play it but sometimes it crashes when I open it still. What I had to do is change the screen resolution to 1920x1980 like my desktop. That prevents less crashes everytime I open the game. Thanks for replying!
Wow! Even I'm impressed. BTW, there are many free editors that are now available. I used Microsoft's Clipchamp to produce several videos. Even had one that was over an hour long. It takes some getting used to, but it may be worth your time to investigate. You don't have to opt for their paid version. It basically gets you the ability to save your work online and a way to save some things in a 'brand' account. But, in any case, glad you found what you needed. Have fun.
I just checked with two different aircraft and the tool bar still appears near the top. Are you using a custom aircraft? Saves sometimes have problems with certain aircraft. Also, you might have accidentally turned off the tool bar. Check your settings.
[partially lost] Its a old zombie game on a Windows 8 phone, ZOMBIE DOOM. Found When i was young my friend gave me his old phone which had a few games on it, for example it had swamp attack, hill climb racing, and the third one was called Zombie DOOM. The only existance i found on this game is a 10 year old video on youtube, nothing else. I probably did not look deep into it but thats all i found. I lost the phone the game was on, so i have no clue if anybody else has it anymore. by;kenzopb
Thank you for your time to explain how to fix fast boot I have had no problems for the last 2 years by doing this!! Wanted to wait to post a reply to see if it really works long term instead of the usual works great then something else breaks by doing those things people post on RU-vid!!! Glad it helped. Since this video, I've turned off Fast Boot completely. Sure, it takes my system 1-2 minutes to boot in the morning, but it prevents this problem. Also, since reboot doesn't use it, if I have to reboot during the day, it's the same as it's always been.
Not really. But you can setup your second monitor so that it shows an alternate synchronized view. I'm working on the video and it should be ready in a couple of days.
@@Oldguygeek It will be if your VR headset can do passthrough like the Quest and give you mixed reality. Maybe xplane doesn't have this issue. will have to try out xplane

There are some programs that have their own settings for default storage. Some just remember the last place you saved to and send you back there. This is especially true of browsers. But setting your default directory will apply to most other programs. Hi, I'm here thanks to your tutorial on Reddit. I have had the exact same problem for years and was looking forward to a solution. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. MB wakes up based on mouse or keyboard clicks but that's all. Graphics, mouse and keyboard are off. :-( Some ideas?
Well, because of other problems, I've turned off Fast Boot. Because I rarely shutdown and restart during the day, it only was saving me time first thing in the morning. Then I discovered that since all the settings are stored in the fast boot file, it sometimes through things off after some drivers were updated. It would try and load settings that were no longer correct. Turning off Fast Boot fixes that problem because the settings are reloaded at startup. thanks, the problem won't be fixed though ! 2:20 in the very small window of the tool list the thumbnail will actually change - but if I edit the feedback preview window, it just won't take the new pic, even after save / refresh.

There is no procedure for modifying an .exe. One of the main purposes of shortcuts is to add configuration strings if an exe allows parameters to be passed to it.
Probably not. The standards for creating a shortcut are used when programming each individual .exe. And, of course, each .exe has its own source code unless it's public domain. Could be one of many programming languages. You're really chasing after something that has a more elegant solution with shortcuts.
Thank you. I recently made a personal page and business page. I use the personal page to share my business link because most other pages don't allow business pages to join. When I post a link to my FB business page, the thumbnail disappears as soon as I publish. Often, the link won't even be hot once it publishes. I cannot figure out how to fix this. These posts can't be accessed through the business suite, I don't think.

Hi i have a cannon pixma 4250 im trying to find the part that says blabk ? I have gone to settings i can only see greyscale ? Is that the box that needs ticking ? Please ? Because my colour cartridge has run out it's showing me a box of replacement colour. But I don't want to do this I've followed the instructions on here as well ?

Hello there! I know it's been a long time but I have a trouble finding any solution so i had to resort to this. At 8:48 you show your Enhancements tab with the Environment setting. I just recently got a new computer and can't figure why i don't have this option in windows 11. You think you could help me?
Make sure your default document library is set to the same directory as Max. It uses that to store and retrieve saved games. Just check Libraries settings for docs.
There isn't any other method that I know of. I would let it get published and try this again. BTW, it should show okay to others. It's usually just your publish list that doesn't get updated right.

Go to Business.facebook.com, not the www. The business suite is a free tool to manage your posts. Then follow the instructions in the video and you should be good to go.
Thank you! I just added a bunch of mod files for a game into the directory and it stopped the game from working. Ctrl Z thankfully reversed ALL those file additions, probably hundreds haha
Great news! The reason I did this video is I had just done something very similar and tried the usual undo. Thank god for Windows and it's ability to handle the reversing of my stupidity! Have fun with your game!
