"I'm experiencing such a beautiful side of the Lord." 🥺 I love this so much for you. You've always had the purest heart, and truly, you are just SO deserving of this peace, love, and joy you've been radiating. Always and forever rooting for you no matter the distance! 🙏🏾 i love you sm and I'm so happy for you! 🧡
You've given good advice. I am a Bible Collector and I do not apologize for being so. Many people are being led by God to purchase various Bibles for reasons only He knows. We may come into a time where people may not be able to even find a Bible to buy. I study with different Churches that use different Translations. I also do personal Bible Studies using three to four different translations and Commentaries, as well as other Bible Study tools. We all have a "Calling" and God uses people in different ways and provides the resources to do whatever it is the person has been called to do. I'm respectful of everyone in Christ regardless of how many or how few Bibles they may have. Gifting Bibles is something that I continuously do. It is after all -- All about Jesus Christ and following Him in the way in which He leads. Have a blessed day ~ I truly enjoy your videos! Keep doing what God has directed you to do. ❤
I’m a Bible buying addict ! Mainly because i love the information in them. I’m always buying study bibles to help me grow in my knowledge, but i keep 1 main Bible for everyday use ,where i will just personalize -add sticky notes , prayers , washi tape ,etc. And i will replace that Bible every two years or when it gets to full to read
Hey Emm, have you thought about reaching out to Bible publishers to plan creating a bilingual Bible? Woman of God, that could be an avenue to leave a legacy for your children ❤ just my thoughts 😊
Good! Good Good I started purchasing various translations for teaching purposes, however, I do give some of the former of the ones I've had away. This is really good teaching for anything that we overindulge in purchasing (shoes, clothes, purses) etc.
Please study this topic deep and hard before following any trends under the appearance of being led by God. First and foremost, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in studying this topic and teaching you the concept of modesty in God's eyes. Don't assume that because everyone is doing it, it must be God. The devil uses that technique a lot, feeding into our desire of fitting in when the Lord tells us to be separated. Then start your study by looking to understand why the Apostle Paul said this to the church of Corinth in 1 Corinthians 11:13-16. It says, "Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? FOR HER LONG HAIR IS GIVEN TO HER AS A COVERING. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice-nor do the churches of God." Notice that the long hair is the covering itself. There is no veil. He's talking about women going bald or cutting their hair very short in defiance of the rules of the time, a sign of rebellion (if you study the history of the region of Corinth, you'll know). This verse also tells us that there's no way Jesus' hair was long back then. As you study, you'll find out that the concept of modesty in God's eyes is very specific but the application of it varies based on the place you are in. A certain way of dressing is considered sensual in one country by its people but not considered sensual at all in another country, for example. The answer to modesty is so simple. Why do we complicate it? Let's not end up going back to the places of bondage we came out of, like the Apostle Paul says in Galatian 5:1. All of a sudden, half the women doing this will be living in all the customs of the Old Testament thinking that's what pleases the Lord. The answer to modesty is simply to dress in a way that you do NOT enhance the parts of your body that you know catch the most attention from men in an enticing way because when doing so, you are knowingly provoking them to the sin of lust. THAT'S IT. If your breasts tend to catch attention to the eye, wear shirts that do not give them prominence. You don't need to look like a 80-year old grandmother to look modest in the eyes of God or men and remember that men with perversion in their heart will still desire you sexually even with a covering (I've seen a man hit on a woman wearing a whole burka once!!!). If you want to avoid the attention of men, then stop wearing makeup too. After all, makeup enhances beauty, right? Imagine telling Queen Esther to show up before the king to be selected by him with no ornamentation at all? There's only so much you can do and should take responsibility for in this matter of modesty. Every time I dressed as a teen, I'd go to my dad and ask if I look decent. He never required me to do that, I just wanted to look dignified and his opinion mattered as he was a man of God. I'd wear the same items as my sister, from shirts to shorts to pants to skirts) and dad would always say I look beautiful but dad rarely approved my sister's simply because of the principle I shared above. It's not what you wear but HOW you wear it! You have zero need to cover your entire self or your head to look any more dignified. When a man is sexually perverse, they will see sex in you regardless. If you dress in a way that your own loving earthly father can say, "you look beautiful", then you ARE being modest because you know your own dad would never want to put his daughter out there dressed undignified. You will also see a pattern of men who encourage veiling to be very controlling husbands so please keep your eyes wide open about that.
I'm new subscribe and I also love reading my bibles and taking notes I have a world bible school study edition and a Catholic life Bible as well as well can I write it with a regular pencil
Can you do a video of your bilingual Bible collection if you have more than one which bilingual Bible you recommend for someone who wants to learn Spanish in the biblical way?
I have my Bible as gift from my first communion back in the day with Old and New testament. I have a mini New Testament bible carry on that I got in school from priest. (We have had religion/theology in school) and recently I bought a Bible Study with New Testament and Psalms. However all this is in Polish and since I'm bilingual too and I listen to teachings, gospel in English and listen to English language podcasts I want to get and English version of the Bible so I can follow through the things that they say in the episodes. Sounds reasonable right? Anyway thanks for the video! Greetings and God bless you!
Hello. When I was a student studying Biblical Studies I had to buy various study Bibles. They were great for study. I do own quite a bit. I never thought of over consumption but your point is extremely valid. I needed to hear that but I needed that regarding other areas of my life. Thank you❤
i’m a NKJV girly. it was hard for me to get into this translation truthfully but i always suggest reading any translations accompanied with the NKJV/KJV.
Hi , question Not sure if you answered this in your q&a, I’m about to watch it now but just in case it’s not in there. What would the layout template be for Bible study? Like compared to the prayer journal one but for Bible study instead. I really enjoy your videos I’m a new subscriber 🙂.
I love watching Bible collection videos to see the different kinds of Bibles that are out there. I own 3 Bibles, 1 was gifted to me from my mom when I first found Christ as a teenager (KJV which I read cover to cover and use as a cross reference to the NLT) and the other 2 I purchased within the last few years. 1 is used for my personal study that I do in the morning and the other I take to church and Bible study at the church.
Thank you so much for this!!! This is exactly what I need I feel like once I start praying I just kind of get all over the place it’s so hard for me to articulate my words too. I love the idea of the notebook too because I find myself saying to people I will pray for you but then when I get in that space for prayer I have so much going on at home I completely forget to pray for that person 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you so much for all these jems this is going to help me tremendously 🫶🏼🙏🏼
I just wanna mention that I was here before you hit 100 subscribers and wow! I am so proud of you and your organic growth. God is so faithful and He is using you for so much good. Also, I use YouVersion everyday and did not know about the add verse and cross referencing, so I think I would like that video about what all can be done in that app lol 💜
@@emmalyy__ I love you so much for real. Forever grateful for how you have helped me get closer to God during one of my hardest seasons in life. You're an angel and I'm so happy to support everything you do. Xoxo.
I'm so happy to find you...I really love your style of prayer journaling.. I just found you just in the last couple of days and I went back and watched a few of your videos ...But I will be watching all of your videos .. I really do like your style...It clicks for me...I feel everything you say...even down to head covering... Very interesting...So please keep coming on here and teach us ...Thank you, Carrie 🙏🙌🙏🙌
Thank you for this. I think within Christian social media there is a lot of unspoken pressure to have all the things......it doesn't help that Christianity and quiet time are aesthetics on social media.
i agree with you so much! it’s ok to have cute accessories and all the things but let’s focus on being transformed and renewed by the word or God more than proving our set up is cute and we have the most bibles in the world. He is the goal. 💕 thanks for watching!
i literally have the samething! I have two regular bibles one in spanish(my first bible from childhood looks wild) and then the same but in english. I bought myself a Woman's Devo bible because i thought that was to study. when i ACTUALLY started reading the bible in 2022 but then realized it was not it and i felt like i couldnt understand anything. So then i bought myself the Reina Valera 1960 Biblia Plenitud, which is a study bible and when i tell you deep dived. I also used to have the markers and all the pens and now all i use is a pen 😂🤣 and SOMETIMES a colored one when something is like boom at that moment.
Thanks for your video I also have lots of bibles and you never know there could come a day when we are told to turn them in by our heathen government. So make sure you have more than 1 or 2. Then you can give the government one and they won't think you have more, you never know.😊
@@emmalyy__ In 303 CE the Roman Emperor Diocletian ordered the destruction of Christian books, including all Bibles, during the Great Persecution" of Christians.I heard a person telling of having a prophetic dream about the government going door to door for Bibles..not guns, Bibles. Just a bit of history and potential future. I want you to be prepared if need be. Pray over all things as you know. God has us protected. Be blessed.🙂
I'm stocking up too! Plus, I feel it's good to have a few bibles on hand to share (if and when we can no longer purchase them). Janet Yellen is our current Secretary of the Treasury. I saw and heard her on tv saying that the alphabet agencies are *already* making lists of Americans who are buying bibles! MSNBC is *already* calling christians "CHRISTIAN NATIONALISTS" who are now the NEW T3RR0RISTS!!!! Let that sink in! What they are doing on the college campuses right about calling for genocide of the Jews will soon include Christians.
the notebook is nice where I live we don't have a Ross but we do have TJ Maxx and Marshalls what's the name of the notebook I might be able to find it on Amazon- Thanks 🙂
