Being a large employer but delivering a crap service are 2 different things. Easy to spend taxpayers hard earned cash on a crap service, Rude service even.. Not sure how they measure success, perhaps by the amount of calls they miss direct or just drop to meet targets. . Getting rather fed up with the ineptitude over the years I decided to log each call to each line and time it along with the amount of times the call was dropped when I asked a manager to call me back,, my time ids important to I guess.. We also look into which services are available and when and to who. I know you may enjoy this most and find out how hard it is to get any information at all, for instance, a complaint line.
We start with two methods of contact. we do this because we are aware not everyone has internet access. Question 1 How do I lodge a complaint? Simple answer is there appears no procedure either online or by telephone. Question 2 Find a place to keep warm (Welcoming Spaces). Appears you need internet access to find locations There is no telephone number available to source these locations Question 3 Schools and learning There are some telephone numbers available on some things, and also some email addresses to contact , but I guess yo need internet access to view and contact them right? Question 4 Parking, roads and transport Various stuff in there. If you have internet access you may be able to view the video, if not, I guess you are stuffed. Question 5 Drains and sewers Lots of weblinks but few telephone numbers Question 6 some links but very few telephone numbers. ...................... I could go on to some of the items that are only available 4 days a week but why bother? We should concentrate on the telephone numbers I think as it is run to assume everyone has internet access, so lets look for disability issues like sight and hearing. Sight may be the better to concentrate on I think as that brings it away from the internet. Nope, nothing there for our friends with sight loss at all. I had to go back to the main page on the internet to find a general contact telephone number which is 0300 131 6000 so I will assume that number can be found elsewhere other than the internet and start afresh later to find a complaints number, or a line with someone half intelligent on my next quest. This woman is a leech. She was shoehorned into a plum job by her friends setting up the new Buckinghamshire council - Earns over £275K a year. Twice the salary of the Prime Minister. During covid she not once offered to reduce her salary. People living in Bucks have lost thier jobs, had to take pay cuts, reduced hours or furloughed but dear old Rachael sits in her hot tub in her big house with her political "friends" and laughs at the people of the Buckinghamshire. This year we have a huge INCREASE in council tax - The Council leader says the council is in a dire financial position but still we may pay an inflation busating Tax rise to keep the Shimmin woman in luxury. The sooner she is gone the better. Useless lump. Look at that outfit - you would think someone on that much money would make an effort and not like they had fallout out of a laundry bag.

Wish I was back as a hightown service user, I've found where I am recently just manipulative and unsuitable, a risk of me getting evicted too. At least hightown got me and I had some great times with them.
This is just going to create a monster bigger than BCC which already doesn't listen, care or respond to local people. It will be less local, less democratic and no doubt headed by a large number of people on massive salaries whilst services suffer - I'm sure you are planning to head it Martin demanding an even bigger pay cheque for yourself and your friends. Interesting you say representing BUSINESS first - please remeber Businesses DON'T ELECT councils - the people do - This shows how much you lack understanding that you are in place to serve not govern.
Hi Michael, You are too quick to criticise Martin, who, if you haven't met him, is a very genuine person, wholly dedicated to making things better in our county. I cannot believe you think that the four District councils, with all their expenses, represent good value right now. Do you have a better alternative to put to the voters?
@@francispw I don't think the Status Quo works but I don't like the idea of a monster authority - It risks being all thats bad about being a bigger organisation. Why does he talk about the new council serving business first rather than resident - shows who he is out to impress. I see you avoid my points in my comments. He seems to see this process as consuming the other councils into BCC - That is the wrong approach and will result in distrust and distain for the new authority. It need to be a new creation not an enlargement of BCC as Martin seems to see it.
@@michaelbolton-a Well we shall just have to see how it pans out! I would agree with you about "monster" authorities and we all need to keep an eye on how that goes - there must be a danger that those currently in senior district council roles will try to recreate themselves in Aylesbury, but lets hope not.
@@michaelbolton-a Indeed, but I do trust Martin to keep a check on things and the Council is very strapped for cash, so can't afford to be over generous.
