Woow this brings back alot memories, I was one of the originals at The Loft....I loved it (even tho there was alot drugs). I went to The Garage but it was too crowded for me. Btw, the music was amazing!!
for me it started in 1991 at caffeine out on long island, till i found out about sound factory bar, Wednesday nights, Vinyl some early limelight, Tuesday nights all house dancing, would go straight to work off the train from NYC. Privileged to have been there...still have all my steps and then some at 52 yrs old. househead for life.
I'm 50. Grew up in Bklyn. NYC in the 90's was magical. So many great clubs and house music. My half Irish and half Puerto Rican ass was taking the trains at all hours of the night to get to the clubs. But boy did I learn how to groove. Sound factory bar, palladium, emerald city, the octagon., etc. I feel bad that the kids of today will never get to experience what it was like.
