@@cyclepil Yes, like new! 😁 It was completely stuck and I thought the gear mechanism broke, being made of plastic. I didn't even think it would collect so much residue inside. And now I know how to maintain it, I can't thank you enough!
I cannot get the motor out of the housing. I removed the screw and the plastic thing. I am pressing the back button into the housing. But it is not possible to pull the inside out. Any idea why?
You have to pull the upper part pretty hard for the motor to go out because of the water seal. Same with the plastic part you have to push hard. Make sure you have the right spare battery for the Silk Flex, it is not the same one as other Silk Epil epilators.
Hi I've got the Silk Epil Braun 9. While I was using it the light turned red and after some while it stopped to work and the light started to flash in the green colour. Now it is impossible to make it work again. Even if it is not attached to the electric power, it continues to flash. Do you think it could be a battery problem? Thank you for your help.
@@ilarialucarini1561 The most likely reason is that the battery has run out of power because it has used up all its stored chemical energy. Replacing it will make the epilator functional again. Don't forget to clean the inside of the head too. Clogged gears drain the battery faster. (Tutorial on the channel)
I’ll still go with Silk Epil 7, easy repair, lots of spare parts available. I’ll soon post reviews of competitor models to find if alternatives are better.
Thanks to your clear and concise video here I just managed to change the battery of my Silk Epil 7🎺😀 It is charging right now, with a flashing green light.
Thank you this helped a lot! Wasn’t sure how it opened up after removing the tork screws. I noticed some yellow grease around the button area. Do you know what grease to get as replacement please? Also, should I use the same grease on the cogs on the top section? Many thanks again!
Hi there , Managed to take out screw! Can we remove the round part to clean the hairs? If you could share your complete video link, that would be great.
1) Separate the body from the upper part 2) Remove the cap by pressing both sides 3) Try moving it manually by rolling the part with the tweezers 4) Does it roll ? 5) Open it (full tutorial on my channel) 6) Is there hair stuck inside ? 7) Try removing the hair like in the video If there is no hair and you cannot even roll the tweezer part manually, it might be time to buy a new one : iink.club/headflex
I wanted to replace my battery, but the contacts on the new one prevented me from doing so. So i wanted to put the original one back, unfortunately i put it back upside down for a few seconds. I could smell something burnt. Is the device dead or is it the battery ?
Why is the replacement battery in the link and in the video in the background different than the one you are taking out??? Where can I find this battery without the contacts on the side?
It might be too late by now, but I ordered the same battery that you did (the one mentioned in the description and shown in the background of the video) and if you pull out the bits that the battery touches, and break off the three prongs that touch each side of the battery so you just have the copper plate and the part that goes into the motherboard, the contacts on the battery itself are the perfect length to press against the plate to make a connection. This would definitely be warranty voiding but you probably aren't on this video if you still have a warranty available.
To be clear, I didn't remove the bits from the battery. Those are spot welded on and would probably be too difficult to remove without destroying the battery unless you really knew what you were doing. I just used tweezers to pull out the contacts on the battery holder and bend the prongs off.
You will need the following tools : ① Screwdriver iink.club/screwdriver ② Brush iink.club/brush ③ Oppening tool (blue) iink.club/tool Full tutorial on my channel :)
@@Stonesfann According to his link, a Tx40 which means the cutter head size=6,6 mm. I guessed the article purchased was the 1st one in that list and I consulted the product info page, there on Amz. Hope this helps. you.
