Great lecture. Can I ask. In your exerience what age is a CRL of 6mm? Babymed says 6.2 days and hindwai says even closer to 6 weeks 6 days. What is it in your exerience?
May I just say what a nice, in-depth video for ultrasound techs as well as pregnant mothers. I was 13 weeks 0 days when they found out one of my twins had an nt of 4.0 mm. That same day I did the nipt blood test and I am currently awaiting results. I went in there thinking all would be good, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like it was. I felt rather stupid as I didn't think I would be the one to have a child with abnormalities or higher risk of uterine death. Ignorance is bliss as they say. I'm praying that the results come back okay, but I'm also preparing myself mentally and emotionally for the worst. Thank you for sharing such a well narrated and in depth video
@@rebeccaa2097 i just got the results. Shows there is an 88% chance of down syndrome. And they wont be able to tell which baby or if its both babies to truly confirm things unless I have an amniocentesis. And then what do I do? Such a scary and unnerving situation
@@nadiamatrouf9487 so I opted not to do the amniocentesis as it does come with some risk for one or both babies and I didn't want to have any complications where even if I got an even more positive "Down syndrome diagnosis" I wouldn't do selective termination either way. They did tell me that it would be extremely rare for both babies to have Down syndrome and that is most likely baby b. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant, and they both weigh around 2 lb. We also went to a Pediatric Cardiologist who specializes in Cardiac Care for babies with Down Syndrome find anything majorly wrong. I reached out to a few Down syndrome organizations in my state as well as spoken to mothers of kids with Down Syndrome and I believe I'm at more of a place of acceptance. I'm praying that the rest of my pregnancy goes okay
Hi! LMP - aug 5 Our first US showed a normal gestational sack and just a yolk sac. Second US showed a heartbeat at 125! CRL measured 6 weeks 1 day. We thought all was good, but the doctor called and mentioned we had an irregular gestational sac and was concerned... is this common? To have a regular gs then irregular gs a week later? Also, an irregular gs with a fetal heartbeat? Thank you!
