I mostly showcase survival oriented farms on this channel and occasionaly do tutorials on them. The range is from simple to high end, while I always keep an eye on time efficiency. Occasionaly I also show other redstone contraptions, while the focus is always on benefit for survival game play.
I love the design with the pressure plate, i transformed it, and i used carpet duppers to make an automatic glass farm with the end portal based sand dupper
Not wokring for me on 1.21.1, there seem to be some problems for me. Zombie piglins are spawning in the big portals in the overworld (not sure if this is an actual problem), the minecart is coming back empty from the top poral, the shulker is leaving very quickly when it does make it to the overworld area and shulkers are not teleporting to the nether. If anyone has these issues and can assist that would be greatly heplful!
I don't think maximum compactness is a positive. It often comes at the expense of added complexity and difficulty of maintenance. Maintainability is critical for anything that will actually be used.
This is true in software optimization as well btw You can often shave off a few cycles by inlining some things and adding extra caching layers.. etc But eventually your code becomes impossible to upgrade, change or debug. That level of optimization is nice just to demonstrate the extremes to which something can be pushed, but is typically not great for practical application. I like that these builds focus on practical application. I don't want to spend hours building something, and then have it break, and then have to take half of it apart to fix it.
I searched for his channel to check if I am subbed or not as I didn’t get any notification of ilmango videos all to know he isn’t uploading since a whole year?
I _think_ I've heard that he's got a real job now, which drastically reduces how much time he has for Minecraft. I'm sure someday he'll return, but for now, he's just focusing on his real life!
