😢Some Substance accidentally got on the road that morning it was misty mucky morning the roads were open to public traffic less than one hour earlier..the sweeper cars got through ok..I suppose 300bhp cars it was much more difficult to stop...it marked the End of Billy Coleman's very popular Career from 1967 to that October Saturday 1987..He won the British Rally title in 1974...Irish 1984..and 3rd in ERC 1979..he won all ireland's international rallys 3 times some more had wins in UK Mintex & Jim Clark both 1975...4th on Tour de Corse 1985 plus may top 3 finishes at top level. Quite an achievement considering he didn't compete at Works Level from 1981 to 1984 on the sidelines really but exploded back then with Opel & Rothmans team...plus many more great duels with Clark, Brookes, Mcrae, Pond, Wilson,.. he's 77 Now still very active in Tillage farming@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork ireland.

I've been slowly digitising them for way too many years, I was given the collection of VHS tapes about 17 years ago. Only really got into digitising them in any quantity during the 2020 lockdowns. Quality sucks sometimes, maybe a more modern VHS player might help but I think there is a degeneration in the recordings. Most Annoying thing is Duke marketing laying claim to a lot of the content I post and blocking it even though it was recorded in the public domain. Just can't argue with them, they have the power to shut my RU-vid account down sadly.
Ballinagree hairpin, where Chris Slater had overshoot is above Millstreet Co Cork. and the Chap having the bottle of Guinness is Chimneyfield Glenville Co Cork..@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork.
Regardless of it being a roller or not you dont do that to a fresh motor! Any real builder knows those rings need to seat properly and you smashin the throttle like a jackass over and over from a dead idle like that right after its started wont seat those rings! I bet that motor smoked like crazy after the owner got it and every single time it was fired up! The 2000 rpm for 20 mins isnt just for cams its to seat those rings properly which IS the most important process of breaking in a fresh build REGARDLESS of what cam you install!!
gota agree with everyone else um dont start a new engine and then rev, rev, rev, rev, rev, rev o wait for got REV holy shit lets kill the motor before it hits the stree shall we?:)
If it's a brand new engine with new cam, shouldn't it be run at about 2000 rpm for about 20 mins for the cam to bed in ? As a previous kit car builder (Westfield), good luck with your project !! Jon
