hi. I bought an old solar edge se 5500h jp .I wired directly into the chain of panels .When My solar edge start up without optimizers It run rapid shut down ,error rsd 18 x c7, so using the optimizers will it solve the problem ?
@@huyenluutran3339 I’m having a hard time finding the data sheet for the SE5500H JP in English. It almost certainly requires optimizers, but see if you can find the minimum and maximum allowable string lengths. You will probably need at least 8 or 9 optimizers. I am also trying to understand compatibility between optimizers which is a new question for me. Lately, I’m having to buy older ones off auction sites like eBay.
The commissioning part of this video is pretty good, but the installation itself has a few things that would fail an electrical inspection. 1. DC power must be installed in EMT or rigid conduit. 2. PV wire can not be run in conduit. You must have a junction on the roof under the panels where you switch over from PV wire to #10 THHN. The reason behind this is heat disbursement. 3. The panels are exceeding the roof edge which will create a strong upward wind loading on the panel. No bueno...
What if your screen wont stay on even when I press the button on the bottom to wake the screen. I powered off the inverter,dc, ac, and breaker panel and reversed and was able to get the unit to turn back on for a brief period but then turned off.
So I just built a similar set up just not a Cub. I can see the limitations of the mechanical lift and rotate. I don't expect I'll see deep snow like this in Colorado except for drifts. I am keeping an eye out for a cheap but powerful hydraulic set up for the future. I've only got about $320 in the tractor and blower before the knobby tires, wheel weights, and washer fluid for ballast were added. Best to look for these in the off season.
Hi. 12312312 is the password to access the menu. The activation key is a different number and it was printed on the front of an SD card that came with the inverter (my video on the SolarEdge HD Wave shows a picture of the SD card). In my case, the activation number was also printed on a label on the side of the inverter. Because my SD card or the reader was defective, I had to enter the activation number manually. There was a menu prompt for entering this activation number but I don't recall the details.
Thank god I found this video. I was hooking up a LAN connection to my inverter and messed up something in the settings. I think I put it to “pair up” with my dc switch off so it wasn’t linking to my panels anymore. Thank you for making such a detailed step by step guide. You saved me at least $100 if not more to have someone come out to fix my stupid mistake.
Hey Hullspeed, I don't know if you're still reading this but ANOTHER episode of Fast Forward has been located. It was posted by another archivist who has lots of PBS recordings from Boston. This appears to be "episode II" which the PBS station was calling "Fast Forward II." It's an extremely good copy, too. So good that I suspect it is from an original master and NOT broadcast quality. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dIrGXYuudZA.html
After plowing *(pushing) snow for 60yrs, I became disabled and at the same all of my snow plows were down, so I bought a snow blower. We had a lot of snow that year, JAN 2014, and when I got to Menard's they only had one left and it was a floor model. It cost $700 which seemed like a lot, but it was a 7hp 2 stage with a light and 125volt electric start. There are only 2 problems with it, 1). The Carburetor has always required the choke to be on around 40-50% to stop the hunting. And 2). The primer bubble has stopped working altogether. But, redeeming factors are It has that 125volt starter and the light on the handle so I can use it at night. I have put that thing thru some hellish drifts like all of 2 feet deep, and slush from the county salting the road and plowing a huge glob into my driveway. To me it's a champion! So, I'm gonna drill out the main jet to fix the hunting, and maybe change the oil this year. I already ran a tube from the outside into the inlet of the carb for shooting starting fluid into it, so it starts right up now. * I have 3 pickup trucks w/ front plows and 4 tractors w/ rear blades. Only 1 works, a 1967 Massy Ferguson 165, but it's so big and it's a Diesel. One of these days I'm gonna...........ben/ michigan
thats an old video but i am gonna give it a try and ask. i have a 40 panels with 40 optimizers ofc. whats the voltage i should be getting when measuring straight on the string + - cables? should it be 40v regardless if it is a sunny day or not OR something like 700-800v ? please get back to me if you see this because i have a problem with my system.
Hi. Allowable string lengths for SolarEdge have a maximum and a minimum. Check your spec sheet (cut sheet) for the model inverter you have. For example, if you had 24 panels - you would not be able to connect all 24 in a single string. Instead you could configure the 24 panels as 2 parallel stings with approximately half the number of panels (12) in series. Both strings can connect to the same lugs on the DC inputs of the inverter (both negatives on the negative lug and both positives on the positive lug). The string lengths do not have to match because the DC power optimizers will balance the voltages for the entire string, but there are limitations to how unbalance it can be. I'm not certain what the reasons are for the string length limits, but I will guess that it is a reliable operation limit on the low side (effective DC boost limits) and a voltage safety limit on the high side in case of faults that could be present (and perhaps DC buck limits). Depending on the inverter, you might be able to do 3 strings of 13, 13, and 14. Check the specs please.
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ru-vid.comUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Thanks so much. Just used your method on badly etched glass and worked fine. It does take time. Lots of time. Tip: Once the polish pad is loaded with the cerium oxide, just add water to glass to release paste again. You can keep doing that many times without addind add'l powder. Did I mention it takes quite a while to get clear glass again?
Yeah. You just have to settle in for 20 minutes of... yawn .. slow going. New glass is $200 - probably $250 now - so it's worth it to me. With the exception of finding a better pad material ???, I don't think there is a better way. I was always frustrated when people would indignantly tell me I could just wipe off the haze with wet newspaper. Nope!
A surfer??? There’s a surfer there? Around 43…. At first I thought deadwood in the water but then it came back 43:19 and stood up just as he exited stage right! That is one heck of a way to show scale! Crazy ass surfer! 🤙 🏄♂️ 👊
I want a helicopter to drop me right about mid plateau with a few blunts, a good supply of water and a beanbag chair with the same weather conditions so I could experience all that raw power first hand. It would be spiritual above and beyond!!!
I had the plow on mine last year and............ it was pretty useless. unless it was a inch or two then it would have just been easier and faster to just shovel it. it was fun but very disappointing, and I have ATV tires on mine and weights. Anything 5 inches n up it would just get stuck. I just picked up a used blower and installed it the other day, hyped to put that thing to work. I was going to sell the plow, but I think ill keep it, for after I use the blower, ill swap to the plow to clean up. since I put a poly blade on the plow it does good at clearing away any left over.
@@livewire2474 hahahaha my wife has been talking so much shit bc I was going so hard getting the tractor and the plow ready and we're over here wearing freakin Tshirts in January lmao. It better snow soon, or she won't let me live this down
With the SolarEdge inverters, you MUST use the optimizers. No panel can be wired directly into the chain. Said a different way, the chain can only be a chain of optimizers; each optimizer being powered by 1 or 2 solar panels.
@@Hullspeed thank you, sellers seem to leave out that important fact when your looking to buy. its disappointing because optimizers are very expensive and unnecessary in clear sky areas.
@@dankollars4501 optimizers are only needed if your panels are on your roof, if you have a ground mount, optimizers are not required per nec codes. Solar edge is crap simply because their inverters do not have that option to not use them. I almost made the same mistake. The sma sunny boy 7.7 is the much better choice.
Apparently, it depends on the optimizer you use. Typically the minimum string length is 8, but (according to the optimizer spec sheet) you an go as low as 6 if you use P485 or P505 optimizers. The smallest I have ever done is 9.
I'm impressed for a rear wheel drive and no chains. It beats shoveling. And you don't have to pay $15,000 dollars for a 700series Deere which will do a faster job.
