I daw her right after she was on David letterman at a small bar in quincy, ma. Named the yardrock and after she was there for about an hour she went up and sang about five songs, she sounds phenomenal and her voise was overpowering
Always phenomenal! Nice, shared memory. The Susan Tedeschi Signature Fender Telecaster is available for purchase. It features custom Susan Tedeschi pickups with TBX tone control, custom neck plate artwork with an artist signature on back of headstock and an alder body in Aged Caribbean Mist finish.
I think a person is sexiest when they are authentic, confident and comfortable with who they are. I was a moderate blues fan at best when I first heard Susan’s record. Too much of the same thing for my taste. Her guitar playing changed all that. She never used the cliche lines. Always she went somewhere unexpected. And that incredibly soulful voice.. wow. Instant fan.
Kudos for not bowing to the pressure to use sex appeal to increase your popularity. You are a role model for other artists experiencing the same pressure. That kind of self respect and class is much needed in our society. It is clear to everyone that you earned your audience the honest way.
Susan seems like a really kind and nice girl. She is really good but the bar has been lowered so much that she is pretty much a great bar venue singer and not even a mediocre guitarist. She personally knows she is making this big effort to lose the "white" voice attitude but it is so entrenched in her being and will be there for life. Sorry but true Sue. The effort to accomplish the "Black Attitude" really sounds fake. She should just be true to herself and be herself and would probably sound great! Hey, if you are married to one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time and still can't get it just move on...
Been listening to Susan since Just Won't Burn originailly came out. Saw her at the Minnesota State Fair that year. Been a fan ever since. Susan is a beautiful soul with an amazing voice and plays a mean guitar!! Looking forward to seeing her and the rest of TTB at Red Rocks on July 27 and 28th. Be something like the 20th time I've seen them at Red Rocks.
Had the pleasure of listening to Sue live at a small venue back in 2004. I had her CD but her live performance was so much better. I knew back then she was the real deal. 20 years later she has aged well like a fine wine. She can really belt out a tune.
