Hi, Your video very helpful, But I have a question I am renting an apartment, and have the carrier wall unit. When I turn on my unit the vent opens and closes again, and no air comes out can you tell me why what I'm doing wrong.
I just got my ac fixed and replaced the Freon. It was working for about a month, and then now it’s not getting cold again, maybe I accidentally locked it???
My unit keeps the room at about 68 degrees, so I keep upping the desired temp. Even when set to 85 degrees, the room is 68! And the manual sucks! I wish Paul or someone would give more detailed demos and instructions.
What I’m concerned about is it never shuts off? It just gets very cold in here and on the auto mode it doesn’t let you set the temperature you want … what am I doing wrong.. I use it only for AC
Mine wouldnt power off. I had to push button wait a few minutes..... repeated this several times...wait....changed temp to 85 degrees, push power again and then it finally turned off. I'm not sure what's going on
You may have a bad remote or possibly a bad board. I would turn the breaker off that supplies power to the outdoor unit for 10 seconds to do a full reset.
I'm having the same issue right now. It will not turn off and it is making alot of noise. Of course the repair offices are closed. I reset the breaker but that didn't help. It sounds like the hose is clogged. I looked everywhere to get the little square section off on the wall unit to try n unclog it but these carrier books are useless.
Sometimes my unit will have a number like 21.0 on the front of the air unit instead of the temp displayed. What is it telling me with that number. I cannot find that in the manual. There are two diff numbers that will display by themselves. I keep the air filter clean but it does not have anything to do with that. Help. Thanks . Scott
Thanks for the video, the manual sucks pretty bad for these units. It’ll be like COOL - sets the unit to cool mode. HEAT - sets the unit to HEAT mode. No sh-t?! Yet then it doesn’t tell you what totally ambiguous things like GEAR mode does (I still don’t know) or what CLEAN mode actually does or when it needs to be used. I still don’t know what the moon and star icon does when you hit mode… similar things to this. I also don’t have a humidity button, I have a clean button instead. You’d think with how expensive these units are they’d do a little better. Also disappointed that I can’t see the ACTUAL temperature of the room vs. it displaying what it is set to. I think it shows the temp in FAN mode, but would be nice if I could toggle the LED to show which I’d prefer to see- set point temp or actual temp. Know of a way to do that without having to go to fan mode then back to cool or whatever?
I'm looking pretty hard at getting the 23 or 25. Do you regret not getting the bigger boat? I am concerned about having enough space on the bow platform for 2-3 guys fishing.
Hi, you said "You can read the manual" and then said, "If you don't, that's why you have me" but then you didn't finish explaining everything, LOL. I found the manual very confusing and I'm usually pretty good with manuals. As I understand it, I should always use AUTO and I should always(?) have on DRY at 50% when I am using the AC? When using AC on Auto, the fan always stays on unless I turn the unit off, is that correct?
Can you set these to kick on and off when desired temperature is reached? The manual is confusing..mine is a bryant brand...it just continues to run...unless we shut it off?
The indoor fan will always run even at a low speed in order to pull air through the machine to register the temperature in the room. However, the outdoor unit will ramp up and ramp down or turn off as needed. I just set mine and forget it.
Press timer once, and you can select the number of hours until the unit will come on press the timer a second time, and you can select the number of hours until the unit will turn off
I was just driving the other day down here in Florida when we had 50 mile per hour crosswinds while driving 70-73mph and I have not had any troubles. Be sure that you tension the back locking mechanism properly. After 2 years in the Florida sun, I had to tighten the tension for the tight, snug fit. I still have 2 more adjustments left.
