@@SerMedieval Yes the game is a mix of some old school mechanics with new stuff, i like the combat as well, the difficulty to fight enemies and level up kinda forces you into finding groups to be more effective on grinding etc. Worth playing for sure
Yup! You own it forever. There wont be wipes going forward (at least there shouldn't be, might be a fresh start server at some point though) and VIP is optional but there are benefits to having it. You can see them in the store if you click on the icon in the top right in-game.
the concept of the stargates are nice but I think the game will need more players to execute it fully. right now it's kind of a toss up depending on the time of the day you ask for entry.
Quick thing I forgot to mention - after you start killing higher level mobs/etc you will start to earn primal dust as a reward and even shards on some occasions. Instead of just the residue. So you wont always have to go to the bench and start from the ground up! Also, if you need a trial key for 7 days access to Fractured, here's some more below! @KrisMoretti Yo! Absolutely. I think it might be coming from the currency conversion since it works just like Albion Online or Eve where you can convert cash shop currency for gold, farm gold to convert to the coins and pay for the optional VIP, etc. But that's all the game has as far as P2W goes. There's only mount skins and armor recoloring in the shop aside from that. The game has mechanics in place to keep the economy healthily flowing even if you just swipe and buy gear, but one difference to albion/eve is that anytime you die in pvp you don't lose what's equipped. Only your inventory and durability on that gear. Then the main mechanic is that whenever you repair, it has a chance of downgrading (Going from Purple to Blue, Blue to Green, Green to Gray). The lower the durability before you repair it, the higher the chance of the downgrade. But if you repair it constantly, you'll spend more resources long term so there's also a trade off. Once gear gets to gray grade, it can no longer be repaired at all when it deteriorates so you'll have to buy or craft new gear at that point, which isn't nearly as quick as albion is. Those systems work together to balance everything out in the player economy.
@KrisMoretti Extremely. There's a lot of veterans who are more than happy to help new players or answer questions. There's always guilds willing to take new players on top of that including the one I'm in. And I highly recommend being in one because there are some complicated aspects of the game that are better explained than learned, like the imbuing system. Took me about 30 minutes of having it explained to understand it haha.
Played this this past morning and even saw you at your guilds marketplace when I ran by. My issue with this game atm is not having any idea what to actually do after the tutorial, I just ran around outside Braavos and killed widows and goblins while picking up stone rocks / branches etc to get to rank 2 of crafting for certain weapons. Also no idea what is supposedly good or bad in regards to PvP or pve, lol there is not much information that is current on this game at the moment.
@Caerthose529 Haha I hear you. It took me hours even to grasp something as simple as crafting. And imbuing? I never would've understood it as fast as I did without my guild. There's also a lot of really helpful people in the community that are always up for answering questions and work is being done on the wiki, but even with the revamps they've made to the tutorial, there's still a lot of detail that you don't really get explained right off the bat. Some of the best advice I've seen though is to start with goblin/bandit farming which should be east/south east of bravvos. Marked by green and yellow question marks. Starting there and killing mobs to get some gold/skills and rank experience and then move towards building your house up (if you want to) and just work your way up from there. Depending on what you're farming or trying to farm, you might need a group though.
@@SerMedieval thanks for the advice! Look forward to seeing you and your guild doing stuff as time goes on, might even ask to join after I get a better grasp on the game 😁
@Caerthose529 happy to help and heck yeah haha. Awesome group of people in this guild, always welcome when you're ready 👊. In the meantime, kick some butt in there!!
Yeah I think you're talking about this one that came out earlier today - "Walls can now be built correctly, but existing bugged ones can't be completed. Please ask a Game Master for help - he will help you delete them, then you'll place a new one and the GM will insta-build it for you. Fixed another instance where a player could jump below a Grokoton platform. Depositing heavy materials into a crafting station with the "Deposit All" button no longer causes materials to be lost of the station's inventory is full. It is now possible to track optional tutorial quests. If a new mandatory quest is assigned, the tracker will automatically switch to that one. The top-center Divine Trial UI now appears correctly when logging in inside an active Divine Trial. It is now possible for Aggressive players to steal the carts of other Aggressive players on Terra."

@nextshor awesome!! Come on over when you're ready. When you could, would you also mind joining the discord? I found out that theres a ticket system people go through in there. I'm away from home right now but the discord link is in the description and someone should be able to give it to you in-game

I would like a trial key if you have one extra :)

Btw, when the trial is over - can I just buy the game and continue my progress on the same character/account?
I'd say so! There's already some PVP videos circulating including one I put out a few days ago. The combat can feel very good with the right skills. The only thing is it might take a bit to get used to the no WASD thing and may outright turn people off right away, but if you can get past that, I think you can enjoy it. Content wise there is a decent chunk of stuff to do but the game in its current state is more centered around group and guild content vs solo. It's also been changed to a more flag-based PVP system as opposed to fully open. And it isn't full loot. Only your inventory drops on death.
