I can definitely relate as a former D1 golfer. After accepting that I wouldnt be good enough to turn pro there was somewhat of a sense of not knowing who i was as I was always "the golfer". Fortunately my degree was in finance and I've currently been in the industry for the past 7 years. What's somewhat different though is that I put my golfing accolades on my resume as golf is highly respected in the business world and my college golf career was always a point of discussion during interviews. Thankfully i fell in love with finance and can enjoy playing competitive golf after college and get to play corporate golf events as a perk of the job. People really don't understand that college sports are like having a part/full time job whilst getting your degree.

Liked and subscribed. Bro I was one of the smartest math students at my university. I literally did not attend Calc 2 my freshman year and passed with an A+. I didn't attend because I spent my entire semester and the next two years partying and drinking. By the time I got to junior year I was still up there, but my brain was a fried circuit. I got selected for fellowships but couldn't keep up the pace and dropped out. I still got my degree but at a 2.9 GPA. This is a common trap to any male because it is natural to procreate with women than it is to build a future. Please to anyone reading this, back off the partying before it sinks its hooks into you for good. Ten years later I'm eight months sober now and rebuilding.
Great video Brian T, I would like to know your opinion on contacting Agents for help with recruiting, scouting, game analysis and connections with coaches.
I am very surprised that you have such beautiful videos and such a big RU-vid channel where you are uploading so many videos but your videos are not reaching millions of people, I watch your videos regularly and I want your videos to reach millions of people as I am a RU-vidr. Video SEO is efficient😊
I transferred from a D2 HBCU (football) to a D1 program. The difference in facilities, meals, and resources was like going from Bangladesh to Dubai. While that is stark, the actual college experience was not as stark and there were elements I missed. Like the student union was banging!
I love sports with a passion but there’s more to life than just sports. It’s hard for me to rationalize holding my kid back academically when they have been successful and are ready for the next grade academically, all for the sake that they “might” have a physical advantage and “might” have a skill advantage, assuming they also put the hard work in to get better.
Bottom line u were desperate t play d1 u got there everything is on house for 4 yrs then its over .what u dont tell urself is ill never be a pro & noone is ever going pro.but at least u got free 4 yrs with sports included...GLORY DAYS PASS U BY
Wassup Brian, I have a question and my brain can’t find a answer to it, In my whole heart I don’t want to quit basketball but I still don’t want to do the hard work, do I not love basketball enough?
Aye Brian, I’ve been on a aau team for over 4 months now and the coach doesn’t play me at all despite me being just as good if not better than almost all my teammates and I can only say one is definitely better than me. How do I get minutes when I have a coach who despite seeing my improvement and how dedicated I am he doesn’t even look at me on the bench
Find a role. 3 and D. Floor general. Or be a good rebounder . And EXCEL. You gotta be good on defense so they play you. Once you get on the court , you have to play offense too .
hey Brian whats up, great video, i really like your content. please keep making these videos, they are benefit for my career and deep understanding for the game of basketball. Appreciate it
