This album intro is impeccable. The very beginning(with headphones on and turned all the way up) it gives a sound of metal peace. Be cautious, 0:24 is when hell lets loose. Don't destroy your hearing lol.
Still bumping this album a couple times a year... Listening to it everyday before school when I discovered 12 years ago & it's still as good as it's ever been!
I say this as a compliment: I hear a bit of Architects in these guys. I really hope they're able to recover from their recent loss.... Both personally and musically.
I stopped liking In Flames after A sense of purpose, now a lot of time has passed and I’m going back and enjoying all the music since then Old school Jesterheads have The Halo Effect now so it’s pointless to complain about not liking current In Flames especially with Forgone out
I’m in your category as well, stopped listening after “A Sense of Purpose” … I honestly try to listen to current “In Flames” but cannot, due to the nagging weird ass vocals dude is punching out and super lacking on lyrics.. it’s such a shame, but I’ll always remain a fan for life.
what? this album is fire ... first time listener with this one. I'm an Orthodox Christian who hasn't really listened to this genre of music (except for some For Today)
Are they using Autotune? His voice sounds so different. Definitely some synthetic component in the voice during the clear parts, at least during some harmonies. I mean it's layered, sure. He could never sing that well either, 30 years of growling do that to your voice. I'd be interested to hear the album live
Recent In Flames fan here. From reading others comments I know this might not be a popular opinion but to me this and Foregone are their two best albums. I get fan of bands don't like new directions but the evolution of In Flames catalog is something to hear. Glorious stuff
Dang im jealous, the journey you're about to go through from lunar strain and subterranian to reroute to colony to clayman. My personal favorite is probably Tokio Showdown. You're in for a good one.
I've fallen completely in love with the lyrics of this entire album. Absolutely in love. They are spot on with so many things in life. Both good and bad as we age 💯
