The Ardnamurchan peninsula is a wonderfully remote “finger” of rocky land that stretches out to the furthest westerly point of the UK, just to the north of the Isle of Mull, and south of the Isle of Skye. It is accessed initially by a small ferry, and then by a narrow and twisty single track road.
It’s famous for its outstanding and untouched beauty and abundance of natural resources. The Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 and is situated half way along the peninsula in the small village of Glenbeg. It was designed to both look like a distillery, and also fit in with the surrounding buildings.
The distillery launched its first Single Malt (AD/09.20:01) in October 2020 and it sold out in a record fast time.
On this RU-vid Channel we'll be sharing our love for Ardnamurchan and our whisky.
If you like scotch, single malt, whisky and whiskey then this is the channel for you!
Focussed on flavour indeed ! A fantastic blend and an integrity bottling - with minimal packaging and I really like the label description. I will always have this bottle in my extensive cabinet.
I’m fairly new to whisky. I have tried a lot of new and old “stuff” (thanks to a great colleague), but there’s one bottle I have discovered without any help from RU-vid or others, and that is the AD/07.21:05. I loved it so much, I went out and bought the Cask Strength, and the 2023 Sherry. I loved the Sherry so much, I emptied the only store having it in Oslo from it’s last three bottles. Then I tried the Rum finish which is now my favorite. Picked up four extra bottles of that one. Ardnamurchan is a new distillery, and I’m new to whisky, so I hope I can continue my journey alongside you guys, and that you stay true to the craft. Thank you so far ❤
A lovely blend, but I'm posting now as a warning & advice for others who also enjoy this drop...... Drink it !! It doesn't not last well. I've been slowly sipping on & off over 6 months. About half a bottle gone. 6 months on & its flat. It's lost its spring in its step. For now its like a blend between Caol Ila & Chivas 18 ( blend I do from time to time). Its not bad, but its not the same as the bottle the bottle I opened.
@@adelphiselectionardnamurch2621 Yes I have, and particulalry in blends, not so much in single malts, but less common. Some last well, & some dont I guess.
My bottle has arrived in Tasmania. Got it for $100 aud delivered. Prices don’t always make sense here. Same price as a whole string on single malts on the market but I still believe in having it in my selection. A great drop, thanks for bringing blends to my attention again.
@@adelphiselectionardnamurch2621 truly worth every drop. Some great conversations about blends have come from it too. There’s only a wee bit left so hopefully I can find another one. It will stay on my shelf as long as it’s available here at that price, maybe even cheaper if I can spread the word a bit
It's great to have a blend bottled at the high ABV as there are not much on the market 😁Hopefully it will get people talking about blends a wee bit more 👍
Enjoyed this little behind the scenes video Carl and would be interested in seeing more. Thanks. BTW Maclean's Nose just made it into the Arizona market and I was able to get my hands on two bottles. Looking forward to exploring this one.
So you guys put out a blend, with 70% malt, at 46% abv, non chill filtered and natural color… for 35ish euros AND scored a 7/10 on dramface ? Sold. 2 bottles ordered.
Western Scotland keeps amazing me with it's scenery, what a fantastic video that shows just how good your distillery fits into the landscape. Hats off to the Ardnamurchan/Adelphi team 👍
Great chat. Michael modestly “forgot” to mention that not only is he a Keeper of the Quaich but was also named a Master of the Quaich in 2019! He flies the flags for both Scotland and NZ so very well.
Good work guys, i am having fun with the tasting kit. Omg , what nice flavours it contains... The AD 2020 is very nice balanced. Looking forward tho the next single malt. Btw, i loved the 2019 spirit so much....
