Yeah, as I understand most BG3 players like to use as much resource as they need to dominate the fight. But I like to manage my limited resources to last over a long day over many fights. Unlike Marcus and Halsin Portal where storyline is dangerously threatened, the only thing at stake here is my party's survival, and I know with my party with Kar'niss he's never a threat, so there's no need to waste a level 3 slot. This fight is mainly uploaded for completion to see the continuation of my party over many Act 2 fights. The next big fight with Yurgir though, is a dangerous one, and for that one I didn't hesitate to use level 3 slots as needed. I still went conservation mode after Yurgir was downed, but you can choose to watch up to killing Yurgir. I uploaded the whole fight for completion.
@@pxpgame I can understand that and I hope you take it as constructive criticism, but it might help with your videos to explain your thought processes more. As a viewer you're just watching and questioning decisions all the time on the video and not using counterspell just makes for a longer video for the viewer. If you explained that you're saving spellslots and using basic attacks then it could help the viewer. In my case, I was just watching and thinking 'well now he's lost his turn because he can't attack with sanctuary' and it's a big healthpool to just whittle down
@@daveyfunkAppreciate it. I have silent videos queued up to 15th April, but I'll see about spending time to add subtitles. This channel is already at a point I didn't expect to reach so what you said is now a legitimate concern. I simply wanted to record my 12 honour runs when I started.
So you like to get to Act 2 from Mountain Pass. I prefer going in from the Underdark, then I reach Last Light and get some gears and Isobel's buff before facing anything major.
@@pxpgame Yeah, I usually do partial mountain pass to get access to vendors, then go back and clear underdark including forge, then finish the rest of mountain pass. I use command drop to get the lantern before starting the fight.
