We’re experts, but not bike snobs. After all, we started with just one store that could fit only 99 bikes. Our passion is in sizing, finding or fixing your perfect ride. We are the world’s most approachable bike shop.
Wait, so the epic future of having a family; wife and kids to share your days, VS just staying alone forever but with a nice view. What kind of woke BS is this xD
I bought thos bike used for $620 CAD in 2023, I am very novice at mountain biking so it's plenty of bike for me. If you want to find that actual specs of this bike search "Norco Charger 1".
This bike was really easy to assemble ru-vid.comUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
It went together easily in less than an hour. ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
I have a question, if I buy everything needed will 99 bikes take off my old 3 x 7 drive chain and put in my new 1 x 11 I have bought all of the products I just need help assembling. Please get back to me and reply to my comment.
Don't take anything to these people I put my bike in for a simple gear adjustment at the airport west Vic store and they wrecked my bike.3 seperate attempts to fix it they still couldn't get it right and refused to pay for the damage to my frame from scratching it.extreamly poor workmanship and service.
Got a big nine from 99bikes in airport west Vic store valued at $899 and the actual cost price of the bike is $580 so don't pay full price or the "club price" as the mark up is extreme, from day one had issues with it they would not even fix it.i have a giant talon and it's of far better quality the difference is night and day.
so, what your saying is, buy a cheap bike and get cheap components that wont do the job? All gears should index smoothly whatever price they are and brakes should stop you, what ever spec they are, surely?
