🧏♂️Pro tip.. (I run the same transmission cases, similar motor + gearing, but) ..Use 2 motor plates not 1. Install both together Using longer screws, & I like to put a screw w.Lock Nut in the top gear cover mount hole instead of putting the gear cover on.*Cover wont fit over the 34t pinion anyways. **I know this info is about 5years to late, but it is what it is, & I cant change that.. Far as i know there's no single motor plate available for Traxxas 2wd truck that won't bend when using any 100mph+ capable motor, or is there any video's on RU-vid showing this helpful info, so be the first one. Ps; another way to achieve the double motor plate for less money is to purchase the RPM trans. Cases and use that motor plate on the original stock Traxxas plastic cases. Bolts right on and honestly wrks little better, but not as much clearance can be made for bigger motors that require so much room you have to file down the two corners of the cases where the motor contacts. And don't forget to adjust the motor end cap on the shaft side only over to next set of holes to have the motor wires going to the ESC pointed inward. That way they. Don't get damaged after flipping over backwards or sliding around backwards into a curb. Use Traxxas HDuty spur-gear shaft, Robinson racing idler gear, HR HDuty dif locker and dif case, proper shim the dif and spur shaft so no side to side movement but not binding when spinning transmission by hand. Hope that helps ya get over 100mph. I know it can be done. (128pb on 6s CNHL bat, stock chassis & body, GRP's, XLX esc, Castle 1515-2200kv, 34/34)
I have a rustler 2wd and 2200kv with sidewinder8 my gearing is 33/36 I have grp tires why when I pull throttle my rustler seems to be spinning out like doing donuts?? Am I hitting the throttle to hard am I supposed so lightly hit throttle slowly till it starts to gain speed?
I'm really impressed with this build. I can tell a lot of thought time and effort went into the build itself. The rustler is one of my favorite RC's it makes me want to go do it to one of mine tomorrow
Aluminum is soo sick but when you crash everything bends and gets wacked outta place some parts are great for Aluminum but plastic is better for crashing rpm is great it just snaps back into place when you crash
Don't see why everyone is running mamba's. Let's see a stock rustler hit a 100. I'm running a vxl 3s system and I 100 easily. Some minor modifications and it's easy. And no those camber links aren't for the Stampede they are for the Rustler bandit and stampede. Could be another one but yeah
How much did the whole car cost you not to remote control but just the card self to get a 100 miles an hour with everything on it tires wheels everything and my guessing about a $1000 I'm just taking a guess
That’s a nice rustler man lol. I’m planning on doing this type of thing with my xl-5 brushed rustler that I had emptied all the electronics and stock remote from and sold off. I even sold off the stock wheels for it. I’m attempting 80-125 mph with that rustler on 3-5S lipo power and about 130-145 on 6S. That’s the goal once I get one of these huge 1/8 Th scale combos for it. 34/34 gearing or 34/30 if I could do that. Going to go with s Futaba remote as well. By the way where do I buy gears like this at ?..... what brand are they ?I got mod 1 25 pinion and mod 1 40 spur inside my Traxxas E Revo 1/8th Mamba Monster 2200 KV truggy and I think on 6S I’m easily at 83-90 mph.
@@henryescobar6739 I actually haven’t even built a 1/10th stadium truck Speed run car yet lol……. I’ve opted for a Traxxas Rustler 4x4 Vxl instead. I’ve sold my older cars but I am planning on rebuying one or two more cars. Either a rustler 2wd brushed or a bandit brushed but I’ll be putting in 1/8th scale electronics into them.I’m still in the process of wanting to build one like when I saw that guy Draven on RU-vid who had a couple or three of them at least.
@@IKillzZzombies yeah I just started mine but went with a smaller motor. I'm having trouble keeping mine on the ground. 46mph and it lifts and does ballet crap.
