i definitely would've mind separate videos, although they are all the same "gimmick" with love potion and flying fish, the end results are quite surprising and entertaining each time, but in any case also your high standards are what make your channel what it is!
The way caterpillar works is that it transforms into a 1-1 butterfly on its start of battle attack order and then at the end of the start of battle attack order, because the butterfly only has 1 attack, and only then does it transform. So the best to keep your caterpillar alive from snipes is keeping attack low and scaling hp, so that it can tank the snipes before it transforms.
Butterfly's ability is on transformed, so it always goes after SOB regardless of attack, but I get what you mean (although would be interesting to test that for sure with a 1 attack dolphin!). In the olden days it was different, but I forget when exactly it was changed. I think in that battle with the dolphin I was expecting multiple caterpillars to try and transform but I only had 1 level 3 😆
4:57 I'm glad you mentioned this. I was also thinking about how thematically on-brand butterfly is while watching the run. Maybe the fragility is just in how easy the start of turn setup is to interrupt and in how it relies on the opposing team having a big unit. I really enjoyed this video
I stopped playing SAP ages ago, in favour of watching the metas unfold and seeing these OP strategies constantly appearing and then getting nerfed. And then every few months they add a bunch more pets to the mix. It feels like the game should be incredibly unsustainable at this point but I am happy to be proved wrong time after time. Thanks for the video Grounded, always a pleasure to watch
I always find it interesting to hear from people who still watch but don't play. Yeah there are times when I think that there's nothing new left to do but then there will be another discovery and everything resets. Next batch of new pets has some wild ones in there too... 👀
Why not go seaweed on the front vulture to assist slightly with wildling down enemy health? Would popcorn still end up being more damage? I don’t remember exactly how the transformed urchin works.
Love the creativity! :) Btw I guess you would have won some of thoose rounds if you played flying fish in front as it is bigger and could start of with another perk to soften their team some.
Their is a way easier version of this combo with mushroom instead of love potion flying fish that I grinded for on weekly so seeing any panther tomato build always makes me hype!
also, I dont know how you're feeling about uploading winning vs losing runs but I totally enjoy this content where you show most of/all of a good run that might or might not win, and associated clips otherwise. kinda fun not knowing whether the run actually gets it over the line!
clever team! two of my favorite units being used here~ love how Panther only gets more exciting as the game grows, though its probably a real headache for the devs!
Panther is one of those units that I was convinced was broken early on. But it's very similar to seagull in that it looks great when it all works... but how often does it actually work? You really have to just play one of the perk giving fainters in front of it for any kind of consistency.
