What’s the difference in sound? I have a MISTer FPGA and I have yet to know all the functions. Is there something like a PDF manual for everything it can do? I don’t want to watch hours of RU-vid videos if I can read about it in 15 minutes..
He keeps talking about god damn heaters and my dumb mind keeps thinking he's talking about the game. "Gas makes me nervous" Me: "Wait what boss is Gas supposed to be?" "Have you thought about tankless?" Me: "Is that a challenge run?"
Here are the chapters since its a 4 hour run. 0:00 Start of Run 1:53 (Start of Castlevania 4) 1:07:14 (Start of Castlevania 1) 1:33:46 (Start of Castlevania 3) 2:26:21 (Start of Castlevania 2)
@@punkdallas1646 I plan on doing more soon. When I did those reaction videos, i didn't play SOTN yet. I played it now since a year ago. So I am able to do part 4 eventually. Appreciate you watching the previous ones !
a year has passed since posting this, they still say Simon left that hud behind. Real answer, i have no idea. My guess has to be with the 60hz game not agreeing with the 50oz console lol. Pretty funny though.
@@mrrknightYT according to my informations so far, the NTSC NES had the RP2A03 chip as CPU and APU, while the PAL NES had the RP2A07 as CPU and APU. This has probably something do to with it, even tough I highly doubt it's the only reason
You wanna know the worst part about Castlevania 64? I noticed he was playing on Easy mode, likely because it was the fastest way to record footage for his review. Well, this is one of those games that abruptly ends at a certain point when playing the game on Easy; for this game specifically, it ends at the end of Stage 5 (which is the Castle Center). So even if he did figure out what to do with the Mandragora and Magical Nitro, and the stuff to follow which I won't spoil here, he still would've gotten the *Incomplete Ending* which would've told him to play on Normal to get the True Ending.
Little late fun fact, the reason why the end credits to a bunch of NES games have such weird names is due to companies like Konami & Capcom restrictions. They wouldn’t allow their developers or music composers to gain any credibility, so that they would potentially remain at said company. Which is why several NES game wikis have missing people, luckily some have been credited for their works over time. The composer of Castlevania 1 was Kinuyo Yamashita, who later went to compose other works like Mega Man X3 and that copy of Shatter Hand behind you. And she has been invited to several concerts to perform in collaborations.
😂 10:15 God I love this Simon’s Quest bit! It’s not only super funny but it also Highlights how big of a Mess that Game is. I sorta Wish Konami would’ve put some elbow grease on A Remake before their brand as a Game Company went up in smoke due to their shitty Business practice. But just this AVGN bit for Halloween alone is the Gem of this First Part! Kept me hooked for sure :)
What sucks is Akumajō Dracula X Chi No Rondo on Turbo GraFX-16 CD/PC Engine was Japanese ONLY, is a fantastic game. Dracula X on SNES is really cheap, really relentless. Chi No Rondo is excellent and difficult but not of the ilk of Dracula X SNES. Howevet, Dracula X has an excellent soundtrack. I bought the Limited Run Games Castlevania Requiem Classic Collector's Edition physical which is Akumajō Dracula X Chi No Rondo/Rondo Of Blood and Symphony Of The Night which i already own on PS1. But Chi No Rondo is such a gem and so sad it took to PSP to get here.
