I'm glad you gave Circus a shot even if it wasn't your thing. As the game's writer, I can spoil you on a few of your predictions -- for what it's worth, the "fairly transparent" was intentional because, for better or for worse, it gets pretty crazy at the end: 1) Yes, the goggles are causing the problems. But there's more to it than that. 2) It's the fault of STEEM, yes. But there's more to it than that. 3) Dr. Mabrey is absolutely not trying to counteract something to do with STEEM. 4) The Ringmaster is not responsible for the death of Amelia's mother -- but he still blames himself for it. I'm not going to claim it's the greatest narrative in the history of games or anything, but I will say you're maybe underestimating its predictability a bit. Anyway, again, thanks for playing! Even if it's not for you, it's great to see people discovering the project we put so much into now that it's free for a while.
Considering the struggle presented by understanding the dialogue subtitles would have made a huge difference for this game.If I listen closely I can understand most of the dialogue through the distortion, so I think it is genuinely just the distortion being to heavy and not a accent that makes the dialogue get lost.
I guess I'd say it was the combination of both the distortion and the accent. If it were either one or the other, it would be much easier to understand. But yeah not even having the *option* for subtitles wasn't great. Also it occurs to me that it makes the game less accessible.
btw, if you haven't played the previous 2 games, it's just like reviewing Return of the Jedi without first watching Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back...
Dunno if it's Epic's fault, the Devs' fault, or both. I saw a post on Steam forums (why do people complain about Epic stuff on a Steam forum?) that the devs are aware of it and it should have been fixed today, but I haven't checked yet.
Well, i dont hate spiders. They might look weird, but they are just like the rest of the animals/insects/creatures on earth; looking for food and a safe place.
I've really enjoyed it. Super casual, no real difficulty spikes or lasting consequences. It almost makes me want to go to an arcade to play real pinball, feeling like I wouldn't suck at it.
I have. I can actually catch crystalflies now instead of just giving up if they're a little out of reach. I really appreciate that they finally made this change. But I wonder why it took so long for them to do anything about it?
@@chonjacki I’ve noticed it most when picking up lizards and frogs, especially at that little pond south of Springvale. I’d be literally on top of them spamming Square and they’d still time out
Yeah, I experience that occasionally, maybe 200-500ms, typically when one or the other computer is doing something resource or network intensive. Wifi versus cabled would probably add a handful of miliseconds to that.
